Madison, South Dakota
7:02 p.m.Sixteen year old Dean Winchester huffed a sigh through his nose as he climbed the tree outside his girlfriend's bedroom window, rapping his knuckles against the glass when he reached it and offering a tight smile when he peered inside and a head of blonde hair appeared within the dimly lit room.
The teenage girl on the other side of the glass visibly deflated with relief when she spotted the boy, making her way over to the window that separated them and pushing it open. "Hi," she murmured, not waiting for a response as she turned back around and walked towards her bed.
"Hey," Dean whispered, climbing through the window and shutting it quietly behind him. "So, um, wh-what did the doctor say?"
The girl sighed as she took a seat at the foot of her bed. "She said 'Congratulations, it's an it.'" she deadpanned, falling back onto her comforter and folding her hands over her stomach.
Dean closed his eyes for a minute to register heer words before blinking them back open and running a hand through his sandy colored hair. "So, it's - I mean, the test was right then? You're-"
"Pregnant, Dean, yes. I'm pregnant," The girl quipped irritably, her brows shooting up as she sat up. "I'm with child, I'm expecting, I'm sixteen years old and I have a human being living inside my body-"
"Hey, hey, okay," Dean murmured, kneeling in front of the blonde girl and placing his hands gently on her knees. "Allison, it's okay."
"No, Dean, it's not okay. I haven't even told my parents yet." The blonde whispered, shaking her head. "I mean, they said no to me getting a dog, how the hell am I gonna tell them I'm having a baby?"
"We'll figure it out," Dean replied softly, cupping her cheek in his palm and smoothing his thumb over her cheekbone. "You're not doing this by yourself, Ali, okay? I'm here and I wanna help. I'm not going anywhere."
Allison shook her head slowly, her dark green eyes misting over slightly. "You don't know that," she whispered, looking up at him. "You're just here on a job, remember? And when it's done you guys are gonna pack up and leave again and I don't know when or if I'll see you again."
This wasn't the first time the Winchester boys had worked a job in Madison. The first time they came around was when Allison and Dean met. They were only fourteen at the time and they were introduced days before John expelled a poltergeist from their house. They spent about two weeks there before they packed up and left once more and Dean had never felt such a longing to stay with someone as he had with Allison. They managed to keep in touch over the years through phone calls and cliche letter writing because according to Allison it was more poetic that way. She had always been a sucker for chick flick moments. When John had told them they were returning to Madison for a case, Dean had never been so thrilled. He didn't know what it was about Allison but he felt so drawn to her. He hadn't seen her face to face in a little over two years and yet he felt as though he had an obligation to her. To protect her, to keep her safe, dare he say to love her. This led to a rather heated night about two weeks before which sparked the excruciatingly complicated conversation they were currently having.
