Y/n's POVPerhaps, perhaps I should tell Noah about Asteria.
We sat on the floor near the fireplace as it was quite freezing outside.
"Noah" I spoke. "Yes y/n?" He answered. "Do you have any siblings?" I questioned. Noah raised an eyebrow "Well yes, I have a sister and a brother, they're both younger than me." He replied.
I smile. "Do you?" He asked in a curious tone. My smile turned weak, "I used to, an older sister called Asteria."
"I'm sorry." He apologized "It's not a problem at all." I forgave as a wall of tears build up in both of my eyes.
Noah's POV
I saw the tears in her eyes, the joy and love in her eyes were gone.
"Would you like to talk about it?" I asked trying to make her feel better. She nodded slowly as a tear ran down her cheek.
I put my hand on her soft face to wipe off the small droplet of sadness.
I felt her cheeks get warmer. I've never seen her this sad, Asteria must've been a very important person to y/n.
"Well you see," y/n began "She was a very wonderful sister, she believed that I could change the world, as the world is very dull and I apparently was a very cheerful girl." Y/n smiled.
She definitely was important.
"She used to collect piles of leaves and flowers for us," she laughed "She was quite the collecter. We would go mushroom picking aswell. Oh! We also read books together, I guess that's where I got my interest for books from!"
Her smile was back, so was the light in her eyes.
"She taught me piano, she was an excellent teacher." Y/n beamed.
She looked as if she's been bottling up her feelings for so long, now she can finally express it to someone, me, but why me?
"She must've been a magnificent sister then." I stated.
"Yes," She glanced at me "She really was."
But how did she die?
"She came home injured one day, no one knows what exactly happened." y/n's smile began to turn into a slight frown.
I raised an eyebrow "Did she make it?" That was such a silly question. Y/n shook her head.
Oh.
"She was severely injured, too injured to live." She frowned.
Y/n's POV
I was glad I could finally express my feelings, no one was there to listen, the animals obviously didn't understand what I was saying, it's too complicated for them.
3rd person POV
Y/n sighed, "My parents were planning a marriage for me with another young man," she shook her head "I was 8 and they wanted me to marry at 16."
Noah's calm face turned into a concerned look.
"What!? That's awful!" Noah shouted.
"Yes, I talked to Asteria about it and she thought it was a horrendous idea, which it was." She sighed.
"It really is." Noah nodded.
"I talked to her moments before she...passed away." Y/n covered her face hiding the fact that she was crying hoping Noah wouldn't noticed.
"It's alright y/n." He comforted her.
Before Noah could say anything y/n hugged him, very, very tightly.
Noah was in shock, his eyes widened, he felt the butterflies in his stomach flap around, his faced turned red and he patted
y/n on the back."I should've done something, I should've done something but I couldn't. I was only 8, I didn't have a clue on what to do," y/n sobbed "She was the only one who actually believed that I wasn't a helpless little girl that smiles too much, she believed that I had a place in the world."
"Y/n, it's not your fault. You were so young, I understand, I really do but it hurts to see you hurt. You're an amazing person, Asteria would agree with my statement. Her spirit is always near, she's watching you," Noah cried "I'm sure she would be proud of you for what you've done earlier, you helped so many people and you didn't care that a group of other girls were whispering and gossiping about you. You're a strong and wise person."
Y/n's POV
Was Noah crying? Did it really hurt for him when he saw me hurt? He was completely sincere, I could tell by the tone of his voice. "You're a strong and wise person." Those words echoed through my head.
"Oh Noah, I'm sorry." I sniffle while hugging him.
He shook his head, "No worries." He mumbled. I grab some tissues and wipe off the tears.
He smiles, I smile. His smile always warms my heart, the charming smile of his. It really filled me with joy.
"What is it?" He chuckled, I think he noticed that I was smiling and blushing alot. "No reason." I laugh awkwardly.
We've only met a few days before but why, why does it feel like I've met him as a child?
I really do feel close with him, he makes me feel safe when I'm with him.
