= = = > Be Dirk StriderI started walking home after Dave left to his house, a slight blush on my cheeks. I made it and walked past everyone, Closing the room to our bedroom with a slam. They all knew not to mess with me when I was like this.
I took my shades off and pinched my eyes closed. I started remembering that night all those years ago, when I was around 5, almost 6. I didn't tell Dave that I was that young though.
Flashback
"GET OUT! GO AWAY! WE DONT WANT YOU!" My mother screamed at me, throwing my bag at me, that I just managed to catch. I was shocked, because she never speaks like this to me, and she didn't giggle once. A few tears came to my eyes.
"What do you mean mommy?" I asked her. She just sobbed and left, with a cry of 'Where did we go wrong?!' and a slam of a door. My father sighed and took my arm, leading Me out. I was going to leave to meet Roxy soon, the only person I could call my friend.
"Daddy, What's wrong? Why is mommy acting like that?" I asked him, craving answers as all young kids do.
"What is wrong is that we gave birth to you, and We are acting like this because we are kicking you out. We aren't your parents anymore. In fact, we don't want you anymore. We never did." He said. My eyes widened as tears ran down my cheeks.
"If you didn't want me, why did you create me?" I asked. My father sighed and glared at me. He threw me out of the door.
"We wanted a NORMAL child! Not you, Not some FREAK. Now get off my property." He said. My eyes widened behind my anime shades and tears streamed down my face. I grabbed my bag and ran, slinging it on my back. I ran to the jungle gym, Mine and Roxies normal meeting place, and sat down in the middle. I cried out all my tears and then wiped any trace of them off of my face right before Roxy happily skipped into the Closed space we found.
"Hahaha! Hiya Dirkey!" She said happily, as per her usual. Her wide smile seemed to falter a bit as i Didn't make my usual sarcastic remark or smirk, just nodded. She sat next to me and rubbed my back, giving me comfort. I smirked at her and her smile brightened, her eyes still looking a little worried.
"Hey Roxy. What insane thing do you wanna do today?" I said. She giggled a little before she stiffled them. She smiled a genuine, not-crazy smile at me before clearing her throat, Pulling both of us to our feet. She then started to sing.
She sang the most beautiful song, and managed to cheer me up a little. I hugged her and she hugged back. We then started talking, sitting back down. We talked about random things, Our likes and Interests. It was nearing the time we, well, just her now, Had to leave.
