Destroyed. worthless. Incomplete
Lily stepped into the muggle home of Arbella Fig and immediately was filled with the scent of pumpkin pastries and roast puddings. She smiled softly as she walked into the living room. It was a large room with overly bad decor. There was a large tapestry with what seemed to be small cat faces painted over, on the wall behind the orange couch. Below the coach was a large brown rug with a large coffee table. Opposite the coffee table was a small fireplace which was already lit along with a cauldron of floo powder. There was a large window facing a small road in Surrey called private drive.
Arbella was a lovely lady. She was quite a bit taller than Lily and wore a small brown dress which held little stars along with an orange cardigan. It wasn't the best outfit but it did match her vibe and lily thought it suited her. She had a kind smile as she handed Lily cookies. McGonagall had left as soon as she knew Lily was alright but had taken a few biscuits with her as well,
'So deary, have you been okay?' She asked kindly as lily took a seat.
She debated telling her the truth but quickly decided against it, 'Yes i guess just needed a break,'
'Miss your parents huh? I dont blame you dear, im awfully sorry,' She replied with a smile as lily nodded,
'Its fine, do you mind if i go for a walk,' she asked as Miss Figg nodded,
'Don't forgot your wand,' she said as lily nodded, picked up her wand and left the house.
She felt awfully terrible lying to her but just needed to get home. So she ran down a few streets and apperated out. Before landing in the quaint little town of Cokeworth...
She ran past any people and straight back to her old house. The windows were broken and the door looked kicked in, At least no one else had moved in yet. She still knocked as she opened the door and ran upstairs. Straight into her parents bedroom.
The wallpaper had been shredded down and the desk drawers were thrown across the room. The wardrobe doors were wide open with most of the contents stolen and the safe hidden beneath the bed was open and empty. The mirror on the chest of drawers had been smashed by the vodka bottle which laid shattered on the desk.
'Fucking delinquents,' she whispered as she waved her wand and the room repaired itself.
She hated it. She hated it fixed but had so much anger with it broken. They had stolen everything. The evans family wasn't exactly poor either, there was several thousand just in the safe. She didn't care completely about the money though. It was the clothes and the jewellery and the little mementoes that reminded her of her parents. All that was left in the closet was: An old brown jumper that had been her grandfathers; a small purple dress which her mum had worn at Lily's mother-daughter dance in primary; a small grey cap her father always wore -no matter the weather and; a briefcase that was more than worn for use that Her father took to work. Every single one of them had scents on as though they were worn yesterday. The briefcase had a small wallet housing £455 in it and multiple bank cards along with an old book her father read during breaks when he worked.
Lily packed all the belongings into the suitcase before turning to her own bedroom. It was in much the same state, broken belongings and torn apart drawers. Luckily she didn't keep anything too personal in her room at home. However she still managed to have multiple family photo frames smashed on the floor. She frowned as she picked up one of her and Petunia hugging with Santa hats when she was 7. She loved that photo. A small tear pricked up in her eye as she tapped it with her wand and placed it in the case.
