you smiled at the given nickname. it was normal for both of you, you and akaashi, to act super sweet& romantic with each other since you practically know each other since young. sometimes, people even mistook you guys as a young couple. sure, you did have a crush on him last time but the feelings changed. you could not imagine you both dating or even living under the same roof. thus, you gave up and decided to stay as friends. as long as you were by his side, you couldn't ask for more.
making minor adjustments to your face and hair, you brushed off whatever dust was on your skirt before heading out to the gym. students were supposed to be in the cafeteria or the classroom having their lunches but, it is a rare sight to even see the volleyball team to not be in the gym. it's practically a second home for them. sometimes, akaashi would ask you to stay in the gym. you don't mind it though. you kinda like atmosphere in there. not only do you see them practicing, you could also see them joking around with each other or just gossiping. they make you feel safe.
pushing the gym's door, you were greeted by the first years. along with the managers and a warm hug from bokuto. things likes this makes you happy.
"hi guys! i'm sorry for coming unexpectedly haha i just have to get something from akaashi real quick." you said before jogging your way to the black haired setter.
"thank u sm. i promise you this wld be the last time im borrowing money from you." you bowed repeatedly but earned a small chuckle from the boy.
