NOTE: This absolutely should NOT have to be written here but seen as somebody has already attempted to completely plagiarism this story, DO NOT STEAL THIS STORY AND REBRAND IT AS ANY OTHER SHIP. Please have some basic decency and respect for fellow authors. It is devastating and heartbreaking to have to be making this clear because some people are too ignorant to be aware of it. Show some respect and originality. Plagiarism is disgusting, grow up. I worked hard on this and I am sickened and frustrated that someone thinks it's okay to steal it. This is over 4700 words of MY effort and MY writing.

NEWS SPREAD FAST of Billy Hargrove's potential return to Hawkins for the yuletide season. More particularly, news spread by Max Mayfield, whom hadn't shut up since around the end of November that she had a gut feeling Billy wouldn't leave them all absent for Christmas.

It was now Christmas day. Nobody wanted to say the young girl was wrong, persay, but Max was wrong.

There was no sign of Billy and it was nearing six o'clock in the evening. But it didn't prevent Joyce from letting Max set out a plate for her stepbrother.

Steve watches as Max's blue eyes once again dart to the driveway, hoping to see headlights. He gives her a sympathetic look. He would never openly admit that his own brown eyes were also monitoring the driveway every few seconds.

"Maybe he is not coming," Eleven stammers. Her speak was good, not as swift and as flowing as the others, but Steve is proud of the younger girl nonetheless.

Max shoots her a look. "He might be. I just know he'll be here,"

Billy had skipped town months ago, with no warning or disclaimer to anybody. Which, a year or two ago, wouldn't have been out of character. But since he'd been somewhat forced into altercations with them by Max, the dysfunctional family of sorts began to accept him.

It had created a weird bond and he'd become an equal to Steve, Nancy and Jonathan in Joyce and Hopper's eyes.

Ergo, his sudden departure left the majority startled and confused. Steve especially. Unbeknownst to anyone, he and Billy had ended up in an arrangement.

Friends with benefits, if you will. Although, Steve had opted to never refer to it as that. It gave him some kind of ick in the bottom of his stomach that he wasn't ready to confess to just yet.

The arrangement had began on a fresh, early spring morning. The very end of January but not quite yet the very start of February. It seemed everyone had been moving on with their lives. Dustin had moved away for college, as did Max -taking Lucas with her, no doubt-.

El and Mike had begun the process of planning a very early on in life engagement after Eleven had been utterly enthralled with Nancy and Jonathan's wedding. Will had started placement with Hopper, something nobody saw the timid, quiet natured boy, doing.

As everyone around them moved on, Steve felt like they were almost forgetting him, leaving him behind. Which ultimately led to Steve hanging out with Billy at the garage he worked at.

While Billy slide back and forth from underneath numerous dilapidated cars by day, he was under Steve by night.

But it ended just as quick as it had started.

Billy began appearing paler and sharper than before, pricklier, around the middle of February. He shrugged it off to Steve often. But the sex came to an end and it left Steve feeling empty. He hated his sudden attachment to the unspoken arrangement. His dependency on a boy he used to despise. By the first week of March, Billy's presence in Hawkins was gone. Leaving behind a ghost of his presence.
