Chapter 10

I didn't answer, I didn't even look at him. He sat on my bed.

"I can't imagine how hard it must be for you. Especially since you're so young, but you need to testify."

I look at him. He could see the anger in my eyes.

"You don't care. No one does. YOU DON'T KNOW MY PAIN!!"

I hit him and start crying.

"You're right, but you could be a great help. You could help us catch him!"

"No."

"Please. We need you. I need you.."

"Get out."

In the court, there was Eric. He gave me an angry look but I was so disappointed in him that i didn't even care. There were some security guards, the jury, the judge, and two lawyers.

The judge asked me to tell my experience and what happened to me.

"My name is Vera and I'm 16 years old. 6 months ago I started working to with a detective team to solve a case from my high school. In the beginning  of October, Eric joined the case. He tricked us. He tricked all of us. He lied about his age, his name, He lied all about himself! He's a fraud and he took advantage of me!"

"NO I DIDN'T, YOU BITCH!" eric yelled.

The judge decided to take a 5 minute break.

"You're so brave, vera."

"...."

"And I'm proud of you. You're doing a good thing. You will get your justice."

"I can't take it anymore! Jasper I'm in love with you!"

Jasper looked surprised.

"W-what?!"

Without hesitation, we kiss.

The judge declared Eric guilty and it was the most satisfying moment ever.

At home me and Jasper were talking about the case.

I hugged him.

"I couldn't have done it without you!" I said.

"Yes you could, because you're strong."

I smile.

"So what's next?"

"Well, we do have another case, but it's not about your school."

"Can I help? Pleaseee!!!"

We laughed.

"Sure."
