You wake up to Akaashi's hand gently stroking your cheek.
"(y/n), we're here. You fell asleep on the way."
"Why didn't you wake me sooner?" You sit up and look around the now empty car. You glance out the window to see everyone stretching and checking their phones.
"It's okay, they just got out of the car," Akaashi assures you. You sigh and carefully climb off of him and out of the car, he followed behind you and shut the door.
"Sorry if I was too heavy." You cleared your throat. He gave you a soft smile.
"Not at all. You're perfectly fine, (y/n)."
"Hey, the love birds are finally awake!" Yukie was sitting on the roof of the car while tying her shoe. You stuck your tongue out and she giggled. You smiled in return and laughed a little. The sound of the other people in the streets drowned it out though.
"Is everyone ready to go?" Kaori said while adjusting her small purse over her shoulder.
"Yep!" The other guys cheered from the opposite side of the car. They began walking, you and Akaashi trailing behind slightly. He held his hand out for you and you carefully took his hand, he intertwined his fingers with yours and the two of you continued walking.
You look up at all the lit-up buildings, they make you feel so small. You glance over at Akaashi who's looking up as well, he turns his head to face you.
"Funny how these buildings make even the tallest people we've ever seen look so, so small."
"That's what I was thinking." You laugh.
"And how people just like us built all these." He lightly squeezed your hand.
"Yeah, it's weird to think about. One of those thoughts you just can't get out of your head." You looked at the group, Yukie and Bokuto were dancing along to some street performer playing saxophone, he was an old man. He had coarse gray hair and a brown hat on, his jacket had patches on it. He had a red scarf draped over his shoulders. A small smile was tugging at his lips while he continued to play the instrument.
Something about the city always calmed you down. You felt at peace here, especially with Akaashi's hand intertwined with yours.
"You okay?" A voice puts your train of thought to a halt.
"I'm fine, still a little tired I guess."
"Alright then." Akaashi smiled at you. Bokuto throws his arms around the two of you.
"How are my favorite love birds doing? Are you guys hungry? Cause Yukie and I found this place just around the corner, it has all kinds of food."
"I could eat." You glanced at Akaashi. He nodded.
"Did everyone bring cash or do I need to cover for somebody...Bokuto.." Akaashi raised his brow as he rounded the corner. You laughed.
"I brought my cash I swear!" He huffed. Everyone walked into the small restaurant, it smelled of all sorts of food. Kaori and Konoha picked a table in the ln the back. You sat beside Akaashi at the end.
"Guys wait let's play Heads up." Kaori whipped out her cellphone and tapped a few buttons before she opened an app. "Does everyone here know how to play?"
"For those of you who don't know how to play it's kind of like charades, you hold the phone up to your forehead like so and whatever it says everyone at the table has to act it out for you," Konoha rolled his hand before resting his chin in his palm.
"You have to guess what it is, and if you guess right you tilt the phone upwards, guess wrong, and tilt it down. Pretty easy." Kaori slid the phone over to you after pressing the screen. "Our very own, Iron dragon gets to go first. Welcome to the family!" Kaori grinned.
