Hi people and welcome to your not-needed Hamgelica fic. Just so everyone is aware I am not a professional author and have no idea what I'm doing so don't hate too hard on the story. Other than that enjoy.

It was 9:30 pm. It was 9:30 pm and someone was banging their irritating hands-on Angelica's apartment door. Angelica worked 8 hour days & 7 days a week and when she was not physically working in the office she was working at home because lord knows that you couldn't give the work she did to an idiot like Charles lee or self-centered Aaron Burr so when she wasn't fulfilling her adult responsibilities she used that time to sleep and ignore the world. So it was no surprise that Angelica almost threw herself out of her bedroom window when she heard knocking. Angelica screamed into her pillow, trudged out of bed, and swung open the door and instead of waiting and looking for who may be at the door, she threw the pillow she had previously been holding into the face of the stranger.

"Ow, What the hell was that for!?"

Angelica looked down at the fallen stranger on the floor and removed the pillow from their face. When the pillow was gone Angelica could see her sister Margarita at the door.

"That's what you get for bothering me at 10:00 on a Friday."

Peggy rolled her eyes." First of all, it's 9:30"

Angelica shrugged " You woke me up and it's going to take at least 30 minutes for me to go back to sleep so you basically woke me up at 10:00"

Peggy allowed a small evil grin to slide onto her face.

You should actually be thanking me."

Angelica scoffed at the remark.

"And why should I be doing that."

"Because I'm not the dumbass who forgot we were supposed to go to Dad's important senate dinner thingy."

At that moment Angelica Knew that she messed up. The dinner was at 11:30 she lived 15 minutes away from where the dinner was being held but she had to account for the traffic that would be going on. Not only were her fathers' fellow senators coming to the dinner but so were their very snobby but VERY IMPORTANT families so that would mean a lot of press and if that wasn't enough the President and his wife were coming so with taking this all into account you could guess that Angelica was going to be very late.

She screamed before running into her apartment so she could dig in the very back of her closet. Angelica put all of the expensive things she owned in the back partly because she never wore any of those clothes but mainly because she didn't want to feel like her mother. Angelica didn't know what it was. Maybe the giant diamond earrings weighed her head down and that put her in a bad mood or it could be the better than thou attitude that the designer dresses projected but it was mainly because Angelica was happiest when she was comfortable and she found no comfort in high-class New York dinner parties. Well, that wasn't entirely true. She did have a natural gift when it came to people-pleasing and even as cliche as it sounded Even in a room full of people she still felt alone.

Angelica rushed herself into her bathroom to put on her makeup and straighten her hair. Once she was as her mother would say "Dolled up" she jammed her feet into her slippers and grabbed her heels in her right hand while holding her phone, phone charger, and purse in the left. Once she had her items she ran to the elevator with Margarita close behind. Angelica franticly pushed the button for the lobby but as luck would have it seemed that on every floor someone needed to get in so Angelica was in an elevator with about 13 people in it and she was very late.
