.POV: Raven
"I'm assuming you're hungry." He broke the silence. I nod.
Mr. Russo bought me a burger meal and I practically drooled as he handed me the bag.
"Thank you."
"No problem." He gives a small smile. I felt slightly bad, he didn't have to pay for me. I'm sure with the teacher's salary, he needs every penny. Regardless of who paid for the meal, I'd be devouring it.
I shove the delicious food into my mouth, really not caring if Mr. Russo was watching."This is delicious." I said with my mouth full of food.
"I can tell." Mr. Russo chuckled a little and I couldn't help but smile. I probably looked disgusting and crazy. I imagine being in his shoes looking at me. I almost start choking from laughing. I really was disgusting.
He ate like a normal person while I ate like a dog. I have no regrets.
My body was screaming at me to sleep but I couldn't. It wasn't that I didn't trust Mr. Russo it's just yeah I don't trust him. I mean could you blame me?
I memorized every street name and every turn we made. I was surprised when he pulled into a parking garage for apartments. How was he a teacher but could afford a place in this building?
I followed him to the elevator. He pushed the top button and I looked at him sideways. He was looking down at his watch. I was suspicious.
The elevator finally opened and I followed him into a hallway. The hallway was short and there was only one door. He opened it and motioned me to go in first.
"Ladies first." He said and I rolled my eyes but I walked in anyways. "Follow me to your room."
I was confused. How could a teacher own a penthouse? They don't get payed close enough to even get a maid. I would ask him about it later but all I was concerned about was getting sleep.
I followed him to a door. He opened it and my eyes widened. "Wow. You didn't have to do this you know?"
"I wanted to." He gave me a small smile. I hugged him before stepping into the room and inspecting it. It was a Gray themed room. There were definitely things added since I didn't have this much at my old house. Expensive things at that.
It was quite a big room too. There were two other doors in the room and also a small balcony. I went into one door and saw that it was a bathroom. The bathroom was beautiful.
It was also a Gray theme matching the room. I walked into the other door to reveal a closet filled with clothes of all kinds. I take a step back and look at Mr. Russo. I didn't expect any of this.
He smiled at me. I looked at the sizes of some of the clothes and found that they were my size. "How-"
"I have people." He said and shrugged. I walked up to him and gave him a hug. I wasn't used to hugs except from Gray or Jake but this was an exception.
"Thank you so much. You didn't have to do this. This is a lot." I look back to the room in awe.
"It's no problem, Raven." He patted my shoulder. "Why don't you get some sleep. You look exhausted."
I gave him a small smile and he walked away. I closed the door and went to the closet. I look at all the expensive clothing in amazement. I saw that some of my old clothes were in here so I grabbed a plain warn out shirt and some basketball shorts.
I change quickly and got into the bed. I sighed contently when I got under the covers. I closed my eyes.
