A Nerd, Bunny, and Dragon

An unexpected reunion among friends

At a car packed with things, three children stood nearby.

One was a black girl with bunny ears and a bushy tail behind her. She wore a white dress, a pair of white shoes and in her hand was a green-colored rabbit, she had red eyes and short white hair. This was a 10-year-old Rumi Usagiyama

The second was another girl with long blond hair, yellow eyes, and had sharp teeth. She wore a red long-sleeved shirt with a pair of yellow shorts and red shoes. This was a 10-year-old Ryuko Tatsuma.

The third was a boy who had green curly hair, emerald eyes, he had four freckles on both sides of his face, he wore a grey shirt with a pair of black shorts and a pair of red high tops. This was a 10-year-old Izuku Midoriya.

Currently, the two girls were looking at their best friend, who was moving away from the city due to his mother getting another job out in the far country.

"B-B-B-B-But what are w-w-w-we going to do without y-y-you!?" Cried Rumi

"Come on Rumi! Don't cry!" Izuku said "I told you to be strong! How can you be a strong hero if you always cry?" He asked

"I-I-I just d-d-don't know if I can b-be brave without y-y-your help!" Rumi cried between sobs.

"Come on Rumi! Izuku's right, he can't be here to always protect you! You need to be strong for him!" a 10-year-old Ryuko Tatsuma cried

Rumi sniffled a little and nodded reluctantly before letting out another sob but she looked at Izuku, "I-I-I'll try!" She said

Izuku smiled widely and patted her on the head, "That's all I ask for Rumi!"

"Izuku! It's time to go!" Izuku's mother, Inko, cried

Izuku nodded looked to his friends, "I promise I'll come back, and when I do you two better be amazing Heroes!" he said 

Rumi nodded with a sob and Ryuko nodded with a soft smile. Izuku got into the car with his mother and they drove off, but Izuku poked his head out of the window and looked back at them

"RUMI! RYUKO! I PROMISE I'LL COME BACK YA'HEAR! I PROMISE!" He yelled

Rumi cried a bit louder and a tear fell from Ryuko's eye but she smiled and wiped it away, she then looked to her friend and put her hand on her shoulder and Rumi looked to her friend

"He'll come back, he promised, and for now, we just gotta hold up our end of the deal, right?" Ryuko asked

Rumi sniffled and nodded, "R-Right!"

The two then walked away and followed their parents back to their own cars and went home, Both would hold up their deal with Izuku, and they knew deep down, that he would come back, no matter how long it takes...

16 years later:

Ryuko Tatsuma, now at the ripe age of 26, and going by the Hero name: Ryuku, looked fondly out of her office window, It's been so long since that day Izuku had moved, and many things had changed in Japan, All-Might was going to be teaching at UA alongside a very renowned scientist from I-Island, who made his own field of study that involved Quirks. Her childhood friend Rumi, going by the hero name: Mirko, had been announced as the number 6th best hero in Japan, while she was close, she was currently ranked at 11. So far things were going quite well, and she had a feeling that things this year might even be better.

Just then, her desk phone rang and she picked it up, "Hello?"

[HEY! RYUKO!] Came the loud shouting voice of Rumi
