Only Us~ [A Puro x Lin Story] [Changed]

Prologue: Peace

It's been only a couple of days since the chaos that happened between Lin, Puro, and Doctor. K. It was complete chaos but somehow Lin and Puro barely managed to slip out of the situation. Now they were finally at peace, they could do whatever they want now without having to worry about Doctor. K or anyone else.

"You know, I actually didn't expect us to get this far. We've really come a long way huh?" Lin said in a quiet like tone, Lin always was a bit shy but nothing compared to Puro.

"Your right about that! It's hard to believe that we've only been out of the facility for only a day, but I still believe we've come a long way too." Puro said in a cheerful with a slight tint of shyness like tone, it was his usual way of speaking around Lin.

"One day? Wow I thought we were gone for atleast a couple, I could have sworn we slept once or twice." Puro glanced over at Lin, thinking for a moment. "Well I think we might have, but I'm not so sure."

Puro looked back ahead, they weren't far from civilization, or more likely a dead civilization. Ever since the incident with Doctor. K before hand, Lin and Puro just couldn't get the urge to trust any other humans. If there were any left still.

"Anyways, I went a bit off topic from what I actually wanted to talk about." Lin said this while giving Puro a specific type of look, not an angry or sad look, just a type of look that Puro didn't seem to recognize.

"Oh? Well what did you want to talk about?" Puro said this as he glanced back at Lin. Lin would look back ahead, still having that same expression look on him. "Well actually. . . .wait. . .nevermind I uhh. . .forgot what I was gonna say before."

It was pretty obvious that Lin was lying, this was only bringing Puro's curiosity up alot. He wanted to know what Lin was actually gonna say, but was getting the feeling that he didn't want to say it now.

"Change of topic, where exactly are we gonna go if we find civilization?" Lin quickly changed the topic, oddly enough he had a slight tint of a blush on him before he changed the subject and it went away.

"Hmmm. . .well that's a good question, I'm not sure. . .but we'll figure it out! Right human?- I mean Lin-" Puro felt stupid, was he still really messing Lin's name up? Lin thought this was a little cute and let out a snicker and a slight smile.

"It's fine Puro, like you said, we haven't been out of the facility for that long. Which also means my transfur wasn't to long ago either, plus I think it's cute when you mess my name up." Lin had a slight blush when he said this.

Puro on the other hand was blushing alot more then Lin at the moment, he wasn't so used to being called 'cute' yet. "C-Cute?! Please don't say that! You know how I get when you call me t-that!" Puro was having some trouble as he stuttered during that sentence, his blush only rising as Lin gave him a smile.

"Is someone flustered?" Lin started to laugh silently when he said that, Puro didn't know if he should feel bad or get mad. He had no idea so he decided to do both. "N-No!. . . .I don't think so atleast. . ." Saying this in a mad yet sad tone, it seemed like Puro was a bit confused himself.

"Hah, your so adorable." Lin was a bit surprised that he didn't stutter once during that sentence, usually when he was getting shy or nervous he would stutter. Even though Lin wasn't stuttering, his blush was definitely rising along with Puro's.

As they continued on, both Puro and Lin didn't say much, they both were a bit exhausted and wanted to find some sort of shelter for sleeping. After a while Lin stopped dead in his tracks as a glimmer of hope shined upon him.

"Puro! Look! I think I can see some sort of abandoned house over there!" Lin said this as his hope and excitement were slowly rising, Puro stopped and stood by Lin as he looked over at the abandoned house. It was pretty old, looked like it was sitting there for a while as the outside of the house was littered with dust.

"Perfect find! We should be able to stay there for the night." Puro continued to look at the house as he said this, it was definitely abandoned and there was no chance any human could be in there.

Lin would quickly grab Puro's hand/paw and run over to the house, of course Puro wasn't expecting this as he started to get a blush while having some trouble keeping up. Making it up to the front of the house, Lin slowly opened the creaky and old door. As the door let out a loud creaking sound while it opened, Lin and Puro could see a tint of the inside of the house. The house was completely empty, nothing was inside except for a big beanbag which was probably for a child that lived here before the virus started, and some other furniture.

"This actually is a pretty nice place, not super creepy and it also has a beanbag!" Lin said excitedly as he walked into the house, an old dusty carpet covered the creaky floorboards of the house, making the creacks a bit more silient. "This is perfect for us! We could get our own stuff and put it in here." Puro sounded even more excited then Lin, Lin had a slight smile on his face as he looked over at the big beanbag. It was perfect for Puro, and judging by Puro's expression, he thought the same.
