Once we restarted Uptown Girls, we made it to the part where Molly screws up Neal's jacket. Up until that point, Lance had been trying to coax me. I felt it. Literally.

He's been softly rubbing my thigh but he's so calm about it. Not once did he tear his eyes away from the screen. Me? I'm losing it. What's stopping me from literally leading him to the bedroom, honestly? Nothing, you're right.

After the third time of him trying to start something, I pause the movie which makes him peel his eyes off of a frantic Britney Murphy and onto me. He raises his eyebrows in question. Three and a half glasses of wine in, I'm feeling some liquid encouragement. "What're we doing?" I exasperate. He turns his body to face me, "We're watching a movie?" I roll my eyes, "I know that but what're we doing in general?" "We're hanging out?" He trails off. I just stare at him blankly. I wouldn't be this determined if we hadn't known each other since August and it being November. For all I know he's dating other girls. I'm the kind of person that needs validation on exclusiveness. I hate that I'm that way but...

ugh.

I get up and go to the kitchen to put my wine glass in the sink. I lean my back against the sink and sigh into my hands.

Lance

What the fuck am I doing?

Ever since I left for Thanksgiving break all I could think about was Josie. Here she is tonight, my perfect opportunity. There's nothing stopping me. Which is why I follow her into the kitchen.

I step in front of her and pull her hands from her face. "Hey," I softly coax. 'Josie, don't be embarrassed."

She groans, "I'm just being dramatic. I'm confused and it's getting the best of me."

"Talk to me, J." I tilt my head and look her in the eye. "You can tell me anything."

Looking up at me through her eyelashes, she says, "I just want validation that we - this - is exclusive." She motions between us. I softly shake my head, "Of course, it's exclusive. It always has been."

Her head perks up, "Really?" I softly laugh and nod, "Wow, I feel stupid now." She drops her shoulders. I trail my hands down to hers and grasp hers gently. Here goes. She squeezes my hands, "So, this means what exactly?"

To tease her some, I jokingly shrug my shoulders and she rolls her eyes. "I don't know but can I try something?"

Josie

I nervously gulp as those words leave Lance's lips. Sweet Jesus those lips. His hands gently grasp the side of my neck as our lips meet. Suddenly everything feels right in the world.

There's no Zane. There's no stress from school. There's nothing besides us and the sweet taste of red wine on his lips. This may be my new favorite taste.

We pull apart slowly and take in the moment, but can't resist and meet in another kiss. This time, it's deeper. Where the first was a tad hesitant, this one's sure. Where the first was chaste, this one's needy. This kiss is everything.  Lance devours my mouth and I take it all in. My hands are grasping his biceps as his hands are resting right in the curve of my back. Soon enough, I'm on the counter and he's standing between my legs and there's no holding back.

I shudder as Lance's lips trail down my neck and curl against my ear. In the sexiest voice ever, he whispers, "I want it all, Josie."

With that, I push him away, grab his hand, and lead him into my room.

Upon entering the room, though, I start to breathe heavily into our kiss. His lips trail to my cheek and he pulls away slightly on the fourth peck. "We can go at your pace, J. I don't ever want you to feel uncomfortable around me." His thumb makes small circles on my hand. I gently bite my lip, my heart and mind going in different directions.

I slowly make my way to the bathroom, our eyes still locked. "Don't go anywhere, sir." I tease. He smirks and gives me a salute, sitting down on my bed. Once I'm inside the bathroom, I lock the door and pull out my phone. I instantly click on Meredith's contact, typing out four words.

Did I tell you not to come home?

Yeah? Why?

Oh

Oh, shit.

See you in the morning, bb.

 have FUN, miss thang.

I softly laugh and roll my eyes at my best friend. I look at myself in the mirror. I swipe on some chapstick, fix my hair, and spray a little perfume on. Here we go, ladies.

Still feeling a little buzz from the wine, I make the executive decision to be bold. And bold is what I do. Walking out of the bathroom, Lance looks up from his phone and puts it away once he sees the look on my face. The sex-hungry look.

I'm kidding.

His legs instantly part enough for me to sit on his lap and I lean my forehead against his forehead. For a moment we take each other in. Saying nothing at all but yet everything we couldn't say with words. We look back up at each other and with that one look, we're back into a heated kiss. I pull away slightly, our faces still close. "I'm perfectly content with this right here", I whisper. He leans back and our legs become tangled, "I'm always here, J."
