A New Deku

Chapter 17

Deku's POV
When I woke up, Fei and Uri were still sleeping so I got out of bed quietly and got ready for the day. When I finished, I left and shut the door behind me silently. I decided to go for a walk outside of campus since it was still early in the morning.

As I was passing by a dark alleyway, I heard a scream. I quickly ran in and saw a woman being mugged. Seeing me, the man let go of her purse and tried to run past me. I grabbed his arm and felt a shock travel through my body. Quickly throwing him into a wall, I tied him up and ran back to UA. I felt an immense pain in my mouth but kept on running. When I finally got back to UA, I slammed the doors to the dorms open and all eyes turned to me. "Get RG and Aizawa now." I said harshly. Mil was the first to get up and started running. I collapsed on the couch and gripped the pillow that was nearest me. My nails grew longer and the color drained from my skin. I heard RG and Aizawa come running in the room along with Mil. RG rolled me over on the couch and looked at my new features. She sighed in relief. "From the looks of it, someone or something turned you into a vampire. Thankfully, it's not permanent but you will experience the effects and drawbacks of being a vampire for, at most, a week." She said. The pain was going away and I nodded slowly. "My throat feels dry." I whispered. RG brought me a glass of water. I drank it, but it didn't help in the slightest. "Not helping." I whispered again, agitated. I looked up and locked eyes with a worried Uri. He was wearing one of my largest hoodies, making it hang off of one of his shoulders. "Izu? Why are you staring at me like that?" He asked nervously. I stood up slowly and walked over to him. RG panicked. "Uriah move away from him!" She yelled. He turned to run but before he could I grabbed both of his wrists in my hands, holding them tightly. I leaned down into his neck, my fangs growing longer. I sunk them into his neck and he let out a soft moan in my ear. Pulling away, I licked up the remaining blood of his neck and he collapsed on the couch with a red face. He held the part of his neck that I bit and looked at me weirdly. I licked the rest of the blood off my lips and sat back down in my original spot. The room was silent. "He... he just..." I heard Mina stumbling. I looked up at them and saw them tense. "Zuzu your eyes are red." Mil said softly. "I need Uri and Fei to stay with you for awhile, Mil. I don't want them near me." I said, ignoring her previous comment. Uri stood up angrily, holding onto Rio's arm to keep from falling over. "Why?!" He yelled. I ignored him. "Promise me, Mil." I said seriously. She nodded slowly. "Answer me Izuku!" Uri yelled again. I felt my throat starting to dry up again. "I need to go. Don't come to my room." I said, getting up. Uri let go of Rio and grabbed my arm. I shook him loose and lightly shoved him back to Rio. He looked at me hurt. "Stay away from me." I whispered, the dryness of my throat starting to hurt. I left for my room and locked the door behind me. I tore up everything I could find before eventually tiring myself out and falling asleep half off the bed.

Next morning
When I woke up, my lips and throat were painfully dry. Wincing, I picked myself up and showered, brushing my teeth afterwards. I collapsed back onto the bed and put my hand to my throat. I'm ashamed to admit it, but Uri's blood was delicious. It was sweet and refreshing and I'd die to taste it one more time. Removing myself from my thoughts, I heard a knock on my door. "Izu? We came to see how you're doing. Class A is with us." Mil said through the door. I could smell Uri from here. They cleaned the bite but there was no bandaid so I could smell his sweet scent. My body stood up on its own, walking to the door. I opened the door and was greeted with Mil's smile. I completely ignored her, wanting to get to Uri as fast as possible. Rio blocked me. "Don't do it Zu." He said. "Move." I growled out. I saw Uri come out from behind him, pushing him aside. His eyes were puffy from crying all night. "You didn't want to hurt me, right? That's why you said those cruel things last night." He asked. I nodded slowly. His eyes filled with relief before pulling my hoodie off of his shoulder. "Go ahead." He whispered. I didn't need to be told twice. I fell to my knees and brought him down with me. My fangs started to grow again and I bit into him roughly. He winced slightly before combing his fingers through my hair. When I pulled away, I licked and kissed at the spot before standing up. He tried to stand up but almost fell over so I held him against my chest. He looked up at me. "You're not alone Izu, so please don't push me away." I nodded and hugged him tighter. "He's right Izu. We'll always be here to help you." Mil gave me her signature motherly smile and put her arms around Uri and I. Jayla and Ria joined in on our group hug while Rio stood there looking guilty. "What are you waiting for? Come here." I said. He looked at me with watery eyes before running at us and jumping, knocking us all over. "I'm so sorry Zu! I know you would never hurt Uri but I doubted you anyways." He cried. I massaged the back of his head while kissing his forehead. "It's okay." I cooed. We all stood up and I picked up Rio and Uri in each one of my arms. "Let's get to class. We're gonna be late." I said.
