Deku's POV
To say it felt weird waking up this morning without Uri would be an understatement. As much as I wanted to push it past me and move on, it still hurt. Even so, I have bigger things to worry about. Like making sure Ein and Anos are awake so we're not late on our first day.I took a quick shower before getting dressed in the school's uniform. The principal must have used my measurements from UA before I went to Tartarus because of how tightly fit it was. I shrugged off the small mistake and left the room, ducking slightly under the doorway.
Rae was sitting alone in the common room when I walked in. He had on his signature red headphones and eyeshadow. When he noticed I had walked in, he took his headphones off his ears and laid them around his neck, a faint blush on his cheeks. "Hey." He said, smiling. "Hi." I replied, leaning back on the wall. He stood up and walked towards me. I frowned when I saw his uniform. "Our uniforms were given to us ironed. How is yours so messy?" I asked. He stood there awkwardly. "Well I tried it on last night to make sure it fit but I was too tired to fold it again so I shoved it in the closet." He said nervously. I sighed, grabbing his hand. "Let's go." I said, dragging him to my room. "W-where are we going." He stuttered. "My room." I answered bluntly. He stayed silent. I held the door open for him as we walked in. "Take off your clothes." I said. He blushed. "Izuku you don't have to be so blunt. If that's what you wanted you could've just asked." He whispered. I smirked before quickly relaxing my face again. "I meant so I could iron your uniform for you." I said. He face flushed a deeper red from embarrassment, then anger. "Izuku! You-" He cut himself off by storming towards the door. I grabbed his arm before he could leave, pinning him to the wall. He struggled against me, trying to push me off. I pushed my knee in between his legs and picked him up slightly so his feet were hovering above the ground. "Let me go, Izuku." He said, tears threatening to fall. My eyes widened. I leaned his head on my chest. "I'm so sorry. I was joking." I said. He mumbled something I couldn't hear. I replaced my leg with my arm and wrapped his legs around my waist. He buried his face in my neck as I carried him to the bed. I sat down on the bed, keeping him on my lap. "I'm so sorry, Rae." I whispered in his ear. He slowly wrapped his arms around me. "Stupid Izu." He mumbled in my ear. I chuckled and let him stay on my lap for a few minutes before untucking his shirt and wrapping my hands around his small waist. He shivered. "Your hands are cold!" He yelled. I rubbed my hands up and down to warm them. "Idiot." He mumbled. I grinned before quickly yanking my hands up, taking his shirt off. He yelped and looked at me angrily. I smiled at him sheepishly before laying his shirt on the bed and plugging in the iron. As I ironed his shirt, he sat on the bed staring me. "What's up? You're staring." I said. His gaze hardened. "I think I'm in love with you." He said bluntly. My jaw dropped. "And before you say anything, I already know you're not ready. I just wanted to tell you." He said softly. His eyes closed as he gave me a soft smile. I unplugged the iron and walked to him, standing in between his legs. "Do you have your eyeshadow on you?" I asked. "Yeah. Why?" He said. I held my hand out. He reached into his pocket and pulled it out, placing it in my hand along with the brush. I quickly walked to the bathroom, wetting a paper towel. "Why do you need it?" He asked as I was walking back to him. I didn't reply as I used the wet paper towel to wipe off his smudged eyeshadow and liner. He closed his eyes as I worked.
I reapplied his eyeshadow for him and stole his liner from his pocket when I finished, making a wing on each side. He opened his eyes when I backed away, admiring my work. I smirked as I handed him back his liner. "Perfect." I said. He blushed slightly and turned away, putting on his freshly ironed shirt. I put my coat on and grabbed my hat, trying to force it down on my curls. Rae saw me struggling and let out a muffled laugh. I playfully glared at him and pouted. "Here. Let me do it." He said, taking my hat from my hands. I kneeled down in front of him as he pushed my hair down and placed the hat on top. He tapped my shoulder, telling me to stand up. I did as told, stretching my back. He stood there looking up at me with a weird look in his eyes. "Yes?" I asked. "Close your eyes." He said. "Why?" I asked, closing them anyways. I heard him drag over one of my unpacked boxes, standing on it. "You said you weren't ready for anything serious... but it should be okay.. if it isn't serious, right?" He said slowly, leaning in and kissing me softly.
