The story starts in the year 2012 where a nine year old Aditi Mishra had come to Gujarat, India with her parents to enjoy her two months of summer. Aditi was a very active child, who is smart but also very impatient about things if it won't go her way, she is best friends with Neha and Johnathan from reception and was four months older than Neha and a year younger than Johnathan as he was from a senior class. Aditi was very much fond of Neha as she always thought that she was always very understanding she would listen to all her nonsense she blurts out, if you want to have fun she has the craziest ideas she always likes. Recently, Neha's mom had been in hospital as she was getting operated for cancer. But Neha and Aditi think that Neha's Mom is sick hence she is in hospital and that there was nothing serious she would come back very soon. Johnathan was having fun with his parents in Disneyland and Aditi was extremely bored in the house as she couldn't find anything interesting to do. She really felt like she was trapped, if anything Aditi disliked than it would be the feeling of doing nothing for a long period of time and she is disliking it very much. Her parents and her were living in her grandparents house on the vacation. Her routine here would be like wake up in the morning brush your teeth, have a bath, get dressed, have breakfast, and then do nothing in between her parents and grandparents were talking really seriously which she couldn't understand most of the time.

The adult talks mainly included things which were mostly about their relatives and family friends and her parents and grandparents would talk about them in a very negative way.
" You know Ashutosh's girl she married her classmate during college without asking permission from her parents just look at youngsters these days they don't value their parents anymore. " Said her grandma.

" Yes mom think now only days are like this and then what will happen when my daughter grows up what will these kids be doing will be doing would be more worse than this." Added Aditi's mother.

" You are right just keep your daughter in control and your aunty is coming tomorrow so be Good with her even though you don't like her. Act diplomatically. " Warned her grandmother to her daughter.

She couldn't understand why the elders are talking very badly about them as they held little to no significance in their lives and when these relatives come to meet them they immediately change themselves and behave as they are very friendly genuinely. Faking things like this is also one of the things she hates to the core. Why do the adults behave in such a way was way beyond her she clearly hated faking things. Then she would eat her lunch and then take a nap if possible and then again the adults start with their talks or watch Indian soap operas on T.V . Which was also one thing which she started hating, then she will eat her dinner and then immediately sleep. This lethargic routine was very boring for her, and when she said she wanted to go outside her grandparents said no as they didn't wanted to let her out as she they feared that there would be people who might kidnap their only granddaughter and neither in their neighborhood there was a kid who was around her age to play.

" Granny I am so bored in here that I want to go outside why are you not letting me go?" Asked Aditi to her grandmother.

" Dear there will be kidnappers outside and they will kidnap you so stay in the house. Go watch T.V." replied the grandmother.

" But I want to go outside I don't care about kidnappers. " argued Aditi.

" Okay then we will go outside in the evening." Sighing the grandmother agreed.

Aditi was overjoyed to hear that and she started jumping in happiness of being free.

In the same neighborhood there was a boy named Arjun Joshi who was the smartest in his class and this boy was the opposite of a typical boy. He was quite egoistic and self-centered from a young age, like he would think he is the most intelligent person than others, he would only be friends with people who are toppers and if a person isn't a topper than he would never be in contact with that person at all. He only cared for his parents, and no one he mostly acted diplomatically with people even if he didn't like them and when it came to helping them he would backstab them without any mercy. Due, to this reason no one in his class liked to talk to him and were quite envious of him because he was the topper of the school. It was the time of the December that Arjun was having vacation for at least 20 days from school. Starting from 20 December to 5 January, he obviously doesn't celebrate Christmas and why the hell would a person want a holiday from school on new year day, for him he would go to school on the 1 January as it will motivate him to work hard to achieve good grades.

" Seriously Mom don't you think we should be going to school on 1 January as it could boost our motivation to work hard for our studies. " said Arjun.

" Arjun you study so hard everytime why don't you just take a few days off from studying. " She said.

All these went to deaf ears and Arjun said with a very nerdy comeback he had " Mom, I will have to study hard to get good grades and I can't take any days off."

This would make his mother speechless. Though this might seem a bit cruel both of Arjun's parents wanted to completely bury himself in books if it meant it would bring a bright future to him.
Other than studying if he was interested is working in a small garden in his backyard where he would grow all types of plants with the help of his mother.

There was no person in his neighborhood who was of his age who could play with and he neither he wanted to play with them as he thought children of his age were stupid as they would only think about playing and messing around with everyone instead of studying. His life was all study, grades and making his parents proud with his achievements and praises from his teachers. He was a perfectionist and he hated instability in his life but never thought that instability would come into his life with knocking. During his first day of holiday, he woke up brushed his teeth, had a bath, then ate the breakfast which his mom prepared, studied for his exams which were coming in march next year, then had lunch, studied for two hours then watered the plants which he was growing in his backyard and then played chess with his mother for the time being where his mother had to make sure he has to win in it. Then the day would end with a dinner of the family.
