9. Forbidden Forest

The holidays are over. Everyone has been returning. Mione came back. She told us about her holidays. Then we told her about ours. She begged me to play her a tune one day. We also told her what Harry found and what Dumbledore had told us. She was a bit disappointed that we still couldn't find anything.

We are in our free period and studying. Since exams are coming up soon. Hedwig then flies in. Mione gets on Ron's case about studying. She starts questioning him on the first question he doesn't know how to answer. "And what may I ask you will do if it comes up on the final exam?"

"Copy off of you."

"No, you won't." She says sternly.

"Plus Ronald, we will be given special quills bewitch with an anti-cheating spell." I remind them.

"That's insulting, it's like they don't trust us." Harry and Ron make an unbelievable face. I chuckle at their reactions. Nevil then comes in hopping. "Legolo curse?"

"Malfoy," Harry says.

"You have got to start standing up to people Nevil," Ron tells him.

"How? I can barely stand at all." Seamus then offers but Nevil denies. Seamus gets a little angry and walks off. Everyone begins to laughing at his bald spot in the back of his head.

"I found him." Harry shows Ron the card and he reads out loud. I look at Mione and we both remember. We get up to leave. Nevil yells about the counter curse. I turned back. And unlocked Nevil then followed the other three.

Mione takes the book that we had checked out a few months ago because we were bored. Mione reads and then we learn about the Philosopher Stone.

It was night and we decided to go visit Hagrid. I stayed behind to keep cover. I then see Draco by Hagrid's house. He quickly runs back into the castle. He must have gotten seen. I wait for the trio to come out. "Hurry, who knows what Malfoy is going to do." We quickly walk back but are still caught by McGonagall. Draco was standing behind her smiling. We follow her to her classroom. Fifty points were taken from each of us and she then gave the five of us detention.

We walked back to the common towards the common room. "Can't believe I'm gonna be stuck with you lot." Draco whined.

"Well, no one told you to follow in the first place." I shot at him "Good deeds come with consequences." I say with sarcasm.

"Whatever." He storms aways. The four of us reached our common room. The three of them tell me what they spoke about with Hagrid.

"So the stone should be very secure." I verified. They nod. "That's good." We went to bed. The next day our housemates were upset at us for losing our house some points. Apparently, it dropped us down to third place.

Harry was going to be having a match today against Ravenclaw. Gryffindor got the win rather quickly. Mione had Ron and I learn the Leg-Locked spell just in case Snape tried to do anything.

Our house was happy about the win. They forgot about the points situation. We were with Hagrid. He was sad. The Dragon grew bigger. Ron had gotten bitten and we had to take him to the infirmary because of the poison, I held on to his hand since he was in pain.

"Well, the good news is it looks like the poison is gone." Madam Profey says. That was a relief. We walk back to the common room and talk.

"I don't think Hagrid can keep Nobert much longer now," I say.

"I have an idea," Ron suggested. He then asked Mione to help him write a letter which he then sends to Charlie. I'm not feeling good so I decide to go to the Hospital wing but as I'm walking I feel dizzy.

"Eliza." I look up and see Snape in front of me "What is it?"

"I don't know." He takes me to his classroom. "Snape I don't feel good."

"Have you drank anything recently?"

"No, not since I moved into the Malfoys." He hands me a cup, I drink it.

"Were you bitten by a dragon recently?"

"Nope but Ron was." He looks at me. He hands me two viles.

"Take one before bed than another when you wake up tomorrow." I nod at him "can't have my best student missing her exams." I smile.

"Thank you." I walk out and head back to the common room.

After transfiguration class Professor McGonagall told us we will be having our detention tonight with Hagrid after dinner. We went to put our stuff in our rooms grabbed our coats and went down to dinner. We met with Filtch he took us to Hagrid. He was telling us how they use to have punishments.

We met with Hagrid. We are told we will be going into the Dark Forest "The forest I thought that was a joke." Draco protests "we can't go in there, it's forbidden, and their are" we hear a howling "werewolves."

"There's more than werewolves in those trees. You can be sure of that. Nighty-night." Flitch walks off we then follow Hagrid.

Hagrid bends down to a puddle of liquid."Hagrid what is that," Harry asked.

"For what we are here for. See that'' he shows his fingers "that's unicorn blood. I found one dead a few weeks ago now this one is badly hurt. Our job is to find the beast." How can someone kill a unicorn? "Okay we will split up. Ron, Hermione you're with me."

"Okay," Ron says, already scared.

"Harry, Ej, go with Malfoy."

"Okay but I get Fang."

"Fine just so you know he's a bloody coward." We then hear Fang whimper. We split and then Draco is complaining the whole time. Harry calls him out. I'm already annoyed by him. We stopped because Fang began to growl.

"What is it, Fang?" We look up and see a figure. Looks like we found the unicorn. My chest begins to hurt. The figure looks up and Draco runs off screaming, Fang with him. Harry and I both keep backing up and we fall into small areas surrounding my branches. We are then safe by a centaur. I then go look for Draco.

I find him hiding by a tree. He got injured. "Did you fall?" He is covering his head. Still freaked out. I start to hum a tune which calms him down. "Did you fall?"

"N..n..no I just cut myself as I hid behind this t..t..tree." Trying to act all tough.

"I guess you're the clumsy one, right stutter."

"Whatever." Hagrid and the rest then found us.

We are back in the common room and Harry tells us what Feranz said to him. The centaur that had saved us.

"So you-know-who is out there right now."

"He's living off of unicorns. We had it wrong, Snape wanted it for Voldemort. With the elixir of life he'll be strong again he'll come back." Harry sits.

"But if he comes back you don't think he will try to kill you, do you?" Ron was hesitant on the last part.

"I think if he had the chance he would have tried to kill me tonight."

"To think I have been worrying about my potions exam." Ron gulps.

"Now is not the time, Ron," I whisper to him.

"Hang on a minute," we all looked at Mione "were forgetting something, who is the one wizard he fears, Voldemort fears?"

"Dumbledore," I say.
"As long as Dumbledore is around your safe Harry." Mione finishes. We all look at Harry.
