Morgan

The brunette woman had woken up earlier than usual. She had enough time to get dressed in her favorite clothes and to actually put a little makeup on before she had to attend her morning classes. And what was more, she wasn't even grumpy. The whole situation had befuddled Morgan, to tell the truth. But she decided to make the best of it.

And it did go well! She actually understood her college Calculus professor, for once, and wasn't even late to lunch. Now that was what Mo called success.

She'd been at work for the past hour, helping customers and talking with people. She even got to talk to Edith when business was slow. It might surprise a lot of people, but Edith made for good conversation. Well, for people with similar interests, that is. Fortunately for the pair of them, both the brunette and the elderly bookstore owner were surrounded by their favorite objects.

What more could make this day even better? The answer is Mrs. Josephine Jasper. And her grandchildren, Noah and Amy.

"Hello!" Morgan greeted the trio as soon as they came through the front doors.

She'd met Mrs. Jasper's eldest grandchild, Noah, before. The seven-year-old boy grinned at her, displaying his newly-missing bottom tooth.

"Mowgan!" he exclaimed, completely bypassing the 'r' in her name and substituting it with a 'w'.

The small boy raced forward as she rounded the corner of the front desk to greet him. Noah finally reached her and hugged her waist fiercely from the first moment of contact.

"Whoa!" Mo laughed and leant down to rub the boy's back, affectionally. "Hey there, Mister Monkey! How are you?"

"Gweat! I lost a tooth! See?" He pointed to the gap in his lower set of teeth.

He finally relinquished his grip on her waist and lifted his face, excitedly. The brunette knelt down to his level. He shared his grandmother's blue eyes. Although, coming from him, his gaze was a lot more curious than condescending. As usual, he was wearing a superhero shirt. This time, the Black Panther was emblazoned on the front, surrounded by swirls of purple. His hair was just as blonde and curly as ever---and it appeared that his sister shared  the same trait. And as he had exclaimed, he was indeed missing a baby tooth.

"Wow! You really did lose one!"

"Yeah! The tooth faiwy gave me five whole dollaws!"

"Oh my goodness!" Morgan felt her eyes widen in surprise. She turned to face Mrs. Jasper and laughed. "That was a very generous tooth fairy!"
