[ Second Person POV ]

ON A CLOUDY AND rainy weekend day, you sat next to Laxus, the master's son. Though he was a jerk, you had to admit he had changed since you first joined the guild and his group. Yes, you were a member of the thunder legion. Though you wanted to join Levy's squad, they snatched you up for some reason and you've been a member of the thunder legion ever since.

You were reading your book quietly, your knees to your chest as you leaned your back against Laxus's muscular left arm. The guild was quite quiet since today was a rather busy day for questing and taking jobs around the area. You and Laxus had both been up on the S-Class floor.

Yes, you we're an S-Class mage. Despite being the same age as Erza, book smarts were never your thing. You were never good at math, or writing, but reading was an exception if you liked the subject. Despite all this, your performance on the battle field is what earned you an S-Class certification.

"Oi, your leaning on me again." He said, taking a sip of his drink from his beer mug. You didn't hear him and continued reading.

Soon he leaned over your head, taking your book from out of your hands and sighing as you whined.

"Laxus! Give that back, I was just getting to the good part!" You sighed, reaching up to the book, eager to get back to reading your book.

"Say please?" He asked, confused as he took a look in your manga. You sighed, groaning as you whined once more. "No just give it back, I won't lean on you again I promise!"

"Yeah yeah, fine." He said, putting your book on the table as he sat up and put his big coat on.

"Huh? Where are you going?" You asked, pouting a little bit because you rarely got to see Laxus outside of missions, you almost never got downtime with him.

"Mirajane offered to take me out so I thought I'd accept." He said bluntly, starting to walk down the stairs while waving. "Later loser."

"Bye jerk..." I mumbled, sitting up from the chair. He had been spending a lot of time with Mirajane lately, of course he never blew off jobs or time with the legion for her but he had been paying her a lot more attention recently.

In all honesty, it worried you. It gave you this sad pathetic feeling of utter disappointment. You slapped the sides of your face lightly, in order to get your thoughts together. A good thing to get your mind off this mess would be going on a job.

You went down the stairs to the main guild hall, looking around for the thunder legion. "Hey, Max!" I greeted, walking up to his table. "Have you seen the thunder legion around? I need to go on a job with them!" You said, excitement burning in your eyes.

"The thunder legion? I haven't seen them all day." He answered looking at Warren and Laki who were also sitting at the table. "Don't look at me, I can barely keep track of Natsu sometimes and he's the loudest." He face palms. "Sorry, (Y/n)." Laki smiles sincerely.

"Ehhh... it's fine I should be good to go on a solo job, it shouldn't be that hard. Thank you guys!" You smiled, heading to the job board, picking up the first S-Class job you had seen. "Reef Mountain... scary monster... 140,0000 jewel! This is amazing!"

And so, you set out on that quest. It took you longer than expected to complete, being you did it alone. You came back with a few scratches on you, and was heading back to the guild hall as we speak.

You pushed open the guild door dropping your bag on the floor until you was suddenly pushed into someone's big chest. Before you could see the person You had already known it was Laxus, it was his familiar scent.

"Dumbass! I was worried about you, you didn't say anything to me before going out on that job!" He shouted, placing his hand on your head.

"I think I can handle myself blondie, look, only a few scratches." You said, pointing to the bandages. "Plus I took the ugly beast out without getting seriously hurt!" You smiled, looking behind you. "No offense Gajeel, honey."

"(N/n), you motherfucker." Gajeel sighed, taking a sip of his beer while motioning back to panther lily and levy.

You chuckled and tossed your bag on their table looking towards Gajeel. "But I don't remember fucking your mother-"

"(Y/n), would you stop." Laxus scoffed, bonking your head lightly. "Ow.. what the hell Laxus?" I said, groaning and rubbing my head. "That hurt..."

"Good, next time don't be stupid and go out alone, not to mention it was an S class quest you took. You could've been seriously hurt." He scolded.

"Why do you care so much? I'm a big girl, you act like I'm so helpless, I'm a member of fairy tail for a reason. I'm strong, you don't have to treat me like a child." You smiled, patting his arm before walking over towards Mira and the bar.

"You're a not a child, I know that," Laxus started, following after you. "But you have to admit you have your moments of acting stupid, just like a child. And I care because you mean a lot to me... and in more ways than one." He confessed, burying his face into his beer mug and looking away from you.

"Laxus..." You mumbled, blushing softly before starting to laugh. "Pfft.. bahaha! You're blushing! That's so cute!" You laughed, motioning to Mira, "Hey hey quick get the camera!"

"Shut up! It might be... weird for me to say this shit but I care about you... I uh, I love you." He said, avoiding eye contact with you near the end of his sentence.

You smiled softly, reaching towards him and holding his cheek softly. "I love you too, Laxus." He seemed to lean forward into you, but something was on your mind - something that you needed an answer to before you made anything serious with Laxus.

"Hey..." You looked back seeing Mirajane talk with Lucy at a different table. "Um, what happened when you and Mira went today? If you don't mind me asking that is."

He chuckled softly looking down, "Yeah about that.. she didn't actually invite me anywhere I asked her to go out with me - to plan how I was gonna say what I was feeling towards you. We went to the bakery and talked this all through... pathetic huh?"

You laughed once more, kissing him softly catching him by surprise, but he quickly kissed back placing his large hands on your hips. "I really love you." You smiled, kissing him once more before hugging him tightly. Oh how you wished that one moment, would last forever.
