"....believe I got night shift again, I always fall asleep on the job, and then I get yelled at. Life isn't fair."

Armin's voice finally resonates in my head after a few seconds of haziness, and I blink a couple of times to try and clear the murky feeling from my head. I feel disoriented and out of place as I take in my surroundings, and after a moment I feel less like I'm wading through cloudy water and things begin to clear up. I look over myself to find no bruises, no scratches, and no gunshot wound. All normal things to check for.

Wait. Levi was fucking right. We really are stuck in a time loop.

It finally resonates I'm back where I was when I was leaving work chatting with Armin, and my body finally catches up with my brain as I quickly pull on my jacket and grab my things, giving Armin a quick goodbye before setting a brisk pace to meet up with Levi again.

If I move quickly enough, the killer might not be able to follow me, and once I reach the corner right before my apartment complex Levi should be waiting there. I glance back quickly and mentally cheer when I find I'm right, the killer hasn't caught up with me yet so I'm ahead of the previous pace.

I finally reach the corner a few minutes later, this time not shocked at all to find Levi waiting for me, leaning against the wall like some kind of dark and brooding, sexy-

Nope, not going to go there. We have more important things to worry about right now than the fact I can barely keep my dick in my pants around him, even after all this time.

"You believe me now?" He asks as we fall into step together.

"Don't get cocky, anyone would react the way I did. It's hard to believe." I begrudgingly admit, punching him on the shoulder when I see his satisfied smirk and snorting when he winces.

Silence washes over us as we walk, the cold air assaulting us from all angles as we periodically look back to make sure we aren't being followed. It would be frustrating having to start over again when we've barely even gotten started.

"Ah shit." Levi curses, and I look up from glancing back to find us back at the bus stop.

"Wait, what? We weren't even trying to come here." Confusion laces my tone as I think back to if we talked about trying the bus again, but we definitely didn't. It just felt natural to come here....like an unidentifiable force was pushing us in this direction.

"That's the other issue with all this bullshit, if we don't pay attention the Loop pushes us in the direction of different ways we've died. The first couple times the fucker kept running us over because we kept getting pulled back to the same street."

I decide to leave the fact we got repeatedly run over on the back burner, and instead pull Levi along to a small side street to get us further from the location the Loop clearly wants us to be. "Let's figure out another way to get up to your uncle's cabin. Don't you have a car? Why don't we just drive up?"

He shakes his head slightly as he responds, leaning back against the wall and crossing his arms. "We tried that already and the piece of shit crashed into us. Your head went through the windshield. It was funny."

Another comment I'm going to choose to ignore. "Riding bikes? We both have one."

"That would take 20 years, they would definitely catch up to us and use the bike chain to strangle us or some shit."

My eyebrows bunch up in concern as the gruesome image flashes through my mind, and I blink a couple of times to get that thought put away. "So we can't take the bus, we can't bike, and you can't drive....what about taking an Uber?"
