            AIR filled your lungs as you deeply inhaled, opening your eyes to a bright sky. the human—no, it wouldn't be right to call them such a thing—stared down at you, with a smile on their face.

"i see you've finally come to," they laughed, you didn't notice it before but their voice sounded much different from the humans you had listened to often before. it sounded almost... unreal. you took note of this.

"ah....." was all you let out as you vividly took in your surroundings like you never had been able to before.

the eager brush of blades of grass at varying heights against your new skin, the soft and gentle breeze that greeted you kindly, the warm touch of the sun rays hitting your face. all familiar feelings, given new life through the new body you currently resided in.

          it was almost enough to be overwhelming. 'is this really happening..?' was a thought that commonly came up as you brought your hand up to your face, moving the fingers in ways you had seen humans do. is this... truly real?

          the h—no, your creator—noticed your hesitant nature and crouched down closer to you, grabbing your hand.

          "can you feel this?" they asked, tilting their head. of course you could, the slightly rough patches of skin that filled their hands were almost soft but not quite enough. it was warm, too. maybe even a little sweaty.

          you opened your mouth to reply, but all that came out was a grunt, and then a whine once you realized you didn't know how to speak, as you had never actually been able to say words.

          upon this realization, your creator huffed out a laugh. it seemed as though they forgot to give you that knowledge.

          "don't worry, you'll learn over time. i'll help," they said with a soft chuckle, pulling your hand as they made you sit up, "come, now. there is much i have to teach you if you want to meet the requirements i request of you!"
