𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞 | 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝

- Chapter Five -

As Seok rounded the hallway now slowing down to a normal walk amd he smiled assuming Hyeok would leave him be as he pulled his hood up again going through a room before spotting the wooden door. Seok moved towards the door and as he went to grab the handle a hand tugged him back before pushing him into the wall.

Seok looked up to see Hyeok was the one who did so as Hyeoks hands where pushing Seok's shoulders against the walls now. Seok looked at Hyeok for a solid minute before he could say anything Hyeok did.

"I thought you were going to run?"

"I thought you weren't going to follow me." Seok retorted.

Silence passed between them before Seok moved his own hands up to Hyeok's and tugged them off him, but did not leave where he leaned against the wall. Seok debated something in his head before he decided to go for it.

"I'm infected."

The two stared at each other before Hyeok finally spoke up at Seok's new information he shared.

"I don't believe you."

Seok let out a sigh before pushing past Hyeok to the door opening it saying quietly not looking at him.

"You should."

As Seok walked into the room he looked at Hyun. Hyeok also walked into the room asking for Hyun to come out to speak with him. Flicking his eyes between both boys wondering what Hyun would do. Everyone seemingly ignoring the old man who was stating he was fine wanting to leave.

As Hyeok left he looked at Seok as if talking with his eyes to come as well. Seok didn't look any longer at Hyeok only turning to Hyun who started walking towards them. Though the old man made a slight grab at Hyun's arm stating.

"They are only using you."

Hyeok waited at the door for the two teens as Seok moved to gently remove the old man hand off of Hyun's arm. Before waiting for Hyun to start walking out first. Seok, the last to pass through the doorway as Hyeok closes the door in the old man's face who tried to leave as well.

As the three walked down the corridor Hyeok explained that the front entrance and stairway wasn't safely blocked enough. That both could be breached easily. When they did stop walking Hyeok turned to face them but talked more to Hyun.

"Why do you think I took your side? I'll be straightforward. You'll be taking on all the dangerous work from now on."

Seok went to but in but Hyeok says to Hyun crossing his arms.

"If you don't want to, then I can't help you."

"What do you mean?" Hyun asked as Seok also wanted to know what Hyeok wanted.

Hyeok asked if Hyun could get Dusik from upstairs to the first level. Seok looked over at Hyun irritated at how he didn't speak up for himself. Seok sighs before stating "We were going to get Dusik, the lady and kids anyway might as well do it now." By saying we indicated he'd already made up his mind that he was going with Hyun.

As they stood at the entrance of the steps the gangster who Seok had learned was called Sangwook came over telling the guy with glasses to move who'd been gaurding the stairs. Though said guy did not do that. Sangwook just pushed everything out of his way before entering.

Seok nudged Hyun which was his way of saying for the two to go now but Hyeok held them back for a second stating to Seok

"I asked Hyun to do this not you."

"said I would go back for them and I think you forgot-"

Seok spoke before leaning up and whispering into Hyeok's ear "I am infected."
