Life As We Know It Has Changed

Chapter 4

Maya's POV

It's been two months since the incident with Josh, and now Josh won't leave me alone, luckily, Lucas hasn't been around when it happens because he got a job, but, I decided that I needed to talk to Cory, I know he could do something, I'm like his second daughter.

I was headed over to the Matthews' apartment when I got a text from Josh. "Hey baby, you and I should hang out sometime, I still love you, always have. Remember, someday."  I decided to just block his number and ignore it.

I knocked on the door and Cory answered it. "Hey Maya, what are you doing here, Topanga is out maternity shopping." He said as he invited me inside. "Actually, Cory, I came to talk to you." I said and his facial expression immediately changed. "Oh no, this isn't good is it?" He asked. "No, it's not, you're the only one I feel comfortable talking to about this." I said. "Ok, go ahead, I'm listening." He said and we sat down on the couch. "Before I had the triplets, I ran into Josh at Starbucks when Riley, Shawn, and I went maternity shopping and he kissed me, I did not in any way kiss him back, I immediately walked away and just decided to brush it off. I also decided not to tell Lucas or anyone. Then a couple of months ago I ran into him again at Starbucks and he admitted that he loved me and I told him that I was not going to deal with that because I had kids of my own and I'm engaged and I just left without my coffee, he kissed me again, and now he won't stop texting me and leaving me messages about how he loves me, I just ignore them and I blocked him, it's been eating me up inside by not telling anyone, I just had to tell you." At this point, I was in tears talking about it, I had shown him the screenshots of the messages from Josh and I could tell he was furious.

"Maya, you should've told me sooner, I'm sure there was something I could've done, it infuriates me that my own brother would do this to you, I'm so sorry Maya, I will definitely do anything and everything I can do to get him to stop, I will talk to him and my parents, don't worry, I will make sure that he leaves you alone." He said while he and I were just in a hug, he shushed me to get me to calm down and stop crying, he was petting my hair and he kissed me on the forehead.

After a few minutes, Topanga walks in the door. "Oh my gosh, hi Maya. Oh my god, what's wrong?" Cory and I told her all about what happened. I cried some more, and now Topanga was too, pregnancy hormones are crazy. "Wow Maya, that's awful, I can't believe Josh would do something like that to you. I'm so so sorry." Topanga gave me a hug and we both eventually stopped crying. "Cory and I will do anything that we have to to make sure that this doesn't happen again Maya." Topanga said. "I'll get my parents to come here tonight for dinner with Josh, and we'll talk everything out. We will pay extra attention to make sure Josh doesn't try anything again." Cory said. "Thanks guys, I'll be there, I'll see you later."

Well, it's been over a year since I updated this story, I am very sorry about that. I had most of this chapter written, but I just wasn't sure where I wanted to take it. I'm not sure how many people are even still interested, but I hope you all will enjoy where I take the rest of this story as I try to post more updates. In the next update, we will find out what is going to happen with Josh and Maya, see you guys next time!
