Jungkook POV

"Where is she? My lap is literally open and waiting for her to sit on it," I huffed, making the guys chuckle.

"Good god what happened to the ego and attitude?" Hoseok chuckled.

"He fell in love~" Jimin teased.

I smacked his shoulder, "Shut up hyung. We've not established ourselves that far."

"What does that even mean?" Taehyung rolled his eyes.

"They're both too scared to say the 'l-word,'" Jin answered for me.

"It's too early. We're not rushing anything," I defended our relationship, proud of the fact that we were taking it slow.

"I think it's good. He's committed to something and it's done him a lot of good," Namjoon said.

"Oh my god, can we not talk about it. Where's Yoongi hyung?" I said, quickly changing the topic.

"Grading some tests. And smooth way of deflecting the subject," Jin raised an eyebrow at me.

I rolled my eyes, ignoring their constant teasing, focusing my thoughts back to my girl. I truly didn't mind not saying things like the 'l-word.' Before, I used to throw that word around within two hours of dating someone, so much so that it lost its meaning in a way.

With Heeyeon, I didn't want that to happen. Just one of the many effects that girl had on me.

I pouted as time ticked by and still no sign of her. To be honest, she had been acting a little strange all day. After that incident where I picked her up from the police station, she had been slightly drained, but today, she was just totally out of it.

She looked like she hadn't slept, and while she wasn't much of a crier, she looked on the verge of tears.

She barely acknowledged the guys and I, and dejectedly ambled next to me when we were together. And when I tried talking to her, she either would be in a daze or respond with very dry responses.

It wasn't like her. Instead of teasing me and being playful like she usually is, she was quiet. Too quiet.

"What am I doing? I should go find her," I mumbled, mentally scolding myself for being so dense.

I got up, ready to scour the school for her whereabouts, when a lots of loud cheers echoed down the hall.

The typical high school shouting that encourages fights to happen which wasn't a concern to me, until I heard the words that followed.

"Cho Heeyeon, you bitch!"

The loud shout was followed by a resounding noise that eerily silenced the whole school. The painful sound of a palm to a cheek made all of our gazes snap towards the direction of the sound.

The only difference was that we were dealing with Cho Heeyeon. The daughter of Ares...

"Oh shit," the six of us said at once, hurriedly scrambling towards the commotion.

I ran at a speed I didn't even know I had in me, in time to see a growing crowd surrounding three girls.

One being my girl, and the other two being Jiyoung and Nara.

Heeyeon's face was facing the right side with a red handprint streaked across her left cheek. Heeyeon was scarily still, a small and terrifying smirk peeking out from behind her ruffled hair which looked messed up probably from being grabbed at some point.

Of all the people to pick a fight with, they had to choose the one who can break bones?

The culprit was Jiyoung who seemed shocked herself that her hand had made a mark on my girlfriend's cheek.
