Raven helped Roseanne put on the the necklace while several eyes in the training ground were on them. But neither of them cared. It was a week and about three days before the mission now and soon they would spend the next eight years on a space ship. The instructors and administration could tell them what to do, but soon there was no way for anyone to actually stop them if they decided that they wanted to be together. Roseanne also thought that it was just a necklace, it was innocent enough that she could disguise the present with the excuse that maybe he had just gotten it for her birthday. 

He left her and let her know that she would be waiting in the lounge so they could watch movies until dinner time. She nodded her head and saw him walk off. She returned to her training for the rest of the morning, while she felt the burn of Scarlet's red orbs on her. No doubt she was going to inform Ivory of what she saw and the white haired girl was going to do with that information what she may. She had a relationship of her own with Cedar, and they seemed okay with each other. Roseanne couldn't understand what her urge to come between her and Raven was. Maybe she just liked attention and craved the possibility of having their team captain lusting over her. But Raven wasn't like that at all. He respected the fact that Cedar and Ivory were in a relationship. He just wasn't interested in her. 

When her training time finished for the day, she went in the shower and changed into a fresh set of clothes before meeting Raven back at the lunge for their movie. Since he was having more time on his hands of the late, he usually waited for her with a selection of snacks that he had gotten at the student shop. This time he had popcorn, as well as chocolate malt balls, and watermelon candy. The watermelon candy, she knew perfectly, was only for him. He knew that she hated those with a passion and they were his favorite. It was one of the very few things they didn't have in common. 

Roseanne marched into the room and went straight for the couch where he was sitting at, waiting for her. She groaned loudly, at the top of her lungs, as her knees hit the end of the couch and she let herself fall forward heavily. Her forehead fell onto his lap and she instantly felt the way the pendant on her new necklace got stuck to the material of the couch cushion beneath her, pinning her on his lap. She tried to pull away and was only able to move an inch or two before she was pulled right back, her forehead rubbing up against the top part of his leg near his belt line. She heard him gulp and he shifted only slightly, as he didn't know she was hopelessly stuck there until she mentioned it herself. 

Still, he had been the first to speak. "Uh...Rose...you're a little too close to my--"

A bright pink blush touched her cheeks and she felt her face heat up in embarrassment. She cut him off before he could say the word she knew he was going to say. "I'm stuck, Raven!"

Now that he knew what was happening, he found it more amusing than uncomfortable or strange. Especially considering the fact that he had just given her the necklace and not even an hour later she was getting herself stuck on the couch with it. He was pulled back from his thoughts as she placed a hand on his lap boldly, and tried to push herself up again. That was when he thought maybe he should help her out. Pushing her damp hair out of the way, he reached behind her neck and unclipped the necklace that had been holding there like a vice. She emerged from the couch, taking in a deep breath as though she had been underwater. And she certainly seemed that way too in the way that she was completely rosy pink in the face from embarrassment.

Raven couldn't help but chuckle at that. As she regained her breathing, he took a moment to help get the necklace free from where it was stuck to the couch cushion. He managed to do it easily, but he saw where she might have found it difficult to do when she was wearing it. He then held the necklace up to observe if there had been any damage done to it.
