When Roseanne returned to the lounge after having her conversation with Indy, Honey asked her if she was okay since she took long when she left them to go outside. She stayed with indy for several minutes after telling him the truth because though he had been grateful and smiled at her for informing him of what was going on, it was clear that his feelings were hurt. Back when he was in his former team, he had been in love with a pixie like girl from Province of Textiles. She had lime green hair cut into a curly bob and bright lime colored eyes. They spent a lot of time together and she was devastated when it was announced that he was being moved to a new team. He was about to ask her to be his girlfriend too, despite the no relationship rule in the garden. He liked her so much that he was willing to risk it. 

They still talked for weeks after he moved into the new dorms and started training with the new team. But then one day out of nowhere, she stopped replying. When he saw his former team mates in passing, they told him that Lime had not passed the most recent exam and was sent back home because of it. He was heartbroken and it took weeks for him to get over Lime. But then he saw Ivory standing at the front of the room that day to introduce herself. He immediately thought she was beautiful and wanted nothing more than to get to know her. He also saw the way that most of the people on his team were beginning to pair up with either friends, or people they clearly saw as something more. 

There was Raven and Roseanne, which he noticed had a thing going the moment he joined the team. He could tell just from the way that they looked at each other. He didn't smile at anyone the way that he only smiled at her. And Roseanne's voice seemed to change a bit in her tone whenever she talked to him. It was a bit higher pitched than it was whenever she talked to anyone else. It sounded cute. Then there was also Seville and Honey. They were also always together and seemed to have something going between them. Indy felt like he was at an age where he wanted to find someone to share things with, someone who could love him. His only other option on the team was Scarlet, and he thought she was pretty, but she was much too mean. Then Ivory came along and he thought he had a chance with her, but he had been very wrong. She only saw his feelings as a game.

It was there on the balcony outside the dorm building that he decided that he would play the reverse card on her. She wanted to play with his feelings and make him look like a fool, but he was going to play with her. He planned to follow along with her game and make her believe that he was in the dark about everything. He would try to see how far he could get her to go, and then he'd expose her in front of Cedar so that he could also see the kinds of snake he was involved with.

He would do it and he would have no remorse doing it.

As the girls sat on the mattresses which had been set up on the floor of the lounge, Scarlet immediately said with a sneer. "She was probably outside making out with Raven." Ivory leaned closer to Roseanne as though waiting for the girl with soft pink hair to tell her the details. As she did, she asked her if it was true that she and Raven had something. Roseanne said nothing about it, didn't even have time to respond before Scarlet took it upon herself to respond for her room mate. "I'm only joking. The two of them would never happen in a million years. He's way too handsome to be into someone like her. I just say that because Roseanne told me she had a big crush on Raven. I think his type are probably girls like Ivory or girls like me."

Ivory then let out a laugh full of delight. The two of them were so horrible, and so much alike, that Roseanne wondered if they were maybe long lost sisters. Ivory said. "Here I was thinking I had to back off him now because he was taken. But I guess not. I guess our handsome captain is up for grabs."
