Annabeth's POV
I was swimming one day with my hippocampus bubbles. Bubbles was the only sea creature that didn't fear me. Most sea creatures weren't used to seeing a mermaid so many miles above Poseidon's kingdom so they avoided me. I was fine with that. I swam to the surface.
Hears the thing mermaids aren't allowed to go to the surface. I gave up on rules along time ago. Rules are for fools.
