Webby watched as Doofus came charging at them.
"Webbs." Dewey said, not taking his eyes off Doofus.
Webby slowly turned her head towards him. She had never seen Dewey so fueled with hatred and anger.
It was scary, and...
Kind of hot.
Webby blinked and shook herself.
Snap out of it Webby!
Second time in a desperate situation where she had become lovey dovey over Dewey.
It was driving her nuts!
"Keep watch over Phooey and Louie." Dewey ordered.
Webby could only nod as she slowly let go of his arm.
"Kick his ass." Webby said, glaring at Doofus, who was about a foot away from them.
Dewey chuckled.
"Planning on it." He growled.
He glanced behind him at Louie and his heart sank. Louie was passed out. Cold. Whatever Doofus did to him just now, it drained him.
"In coming!" Huey snapped.
He made a fist and punched Doofus in the face, making Dewey jump at the sudden movement. Dewey looked back at Doofus who sprawled out on the ground, but quickly got up and wiped his now bleeding bill.
"Cheap shot." Doofus snarled at Huey. "Wouldn't even get you a good kick in the teeth, or -." His eyes shown brightly and his mouth widen into a grin. "Balls."
"There's more where that came from." Huey shot back. "They don't call me Red Flash while I'm on the job for nothing." He added.
"Seriously? Red Flash?" Dewey asked, as he gripped the handle of his Scythe.
Huey rolled his eyes.
"Long story." He muttered, then, seeing Doofus he yelled, "Look out!"
This time Dewey was ready.
He pointed his Scythe at him, and hit him in the gut with it.
Doofus grunted then groaned as he was pushed back away from them.
"What gives, Dewey?" Huey asked. "Why not use that hocus pocus on him and be done with it?" He asked.
"I can't." Dewey answered, glaring at Doofus. "I can't meddle in mortal affairs -."
"Damn it, Dewey! We aren't an affair! We're family!" Huey shouted as Doofus picked up a huge bolder nearby and tossed it at them.
Dewey made a swift motion and cut the big bolder in half as if it were made of cheese.
"I'm so gonna get fired for this..." Dewey muttered.
This his face lit up at the thought.
Yeah. YEAH!
Fired!
He could get fired over this!
Why didn't he think of this sooner?
He suddenly got into stealth mode and started firing dead souls at Doofus.
Souls of the dead shot right at him, in the chest, but that didn't seem to faze him.
Dewey growled narrowed his eyes at him. Those souls were suppose to burn him from the inside out. Maybe Doofus really didn't have a soul.
"STOP! DON'T HURT HIM! I -. I LOVE HIM!" Louie shouted.
Huey and Dewey froze at that and glanced back at him. Louie had a crazed look on his face, Violet was trying to keep hold of him, keeping his attention on her instead, but it wasn't working. Webby, she was frozen in place, not sure what to do and Phooey.
He stood silently, watching, never taking his eyes off Louie.
Doofus smirked, and his eyes shown dangerously bright.
"That's right!" Doofus called out to him, making Huey and Dewey snap their attention back to him. "Come to me, darling. Leave those wretched people who hadn't even bothered to try and save you up until now!"
Louie pushed Violet violently backwards making her yelp as Louie made for Doofus.
"H - Huey!" Violet gasped as she clinched her stomach. Huey whirled around and rushed at her, tears were streaming down her face.
"Violet?" Huey choked out as fear surged through him.
"S -. Something is wrong. With -. The -. Baby." Violet gasped out in pain.
Then she whimpered hysterically as she rolled over on her side, tears streaming down her face.
Huey knelt down, frozen in shock, not knowing what to do or say.
Webby had grabbed hold of Louie from behind, dragging him to the ground, trying to stop him from going towards Doofus.
"Stop! Leave me alone!" Louie continued to yell.
Dewey stared at Louie then back at Doofus, his own eyes blazed with hatred for the duck in front of him.
"What did you do to Louie?" Dewey asked, in a rather calm voice, through on the inside he was screaming.
Doofus ignored him and came rushing at him with tremendous speed.
How did this get so out of control so quickly?
Phooey seemed to be the only calm one among the group. He slowly began to go up to Louie, passing Violet who kept crying and holding onto Huey for dear life. Phooey winced at the pain he felt from her. It was done to late for Violet.
The baby was gone.
Phooey knew there was only one hope left for them. If he could just get to Louie...
Webby watched at the yellow clad duck came slowly up to them. Louie still struggling to break free from Webby's grip on him.
Phooey stopped in front of him, and put a hand slowly up to his chest. He could feel Louie's heart, beating fast, and he knew where it belonged, and it wasn't with Doofus.
He looked over at Webby who was still staring at him.
Huey and Violet who was hugging each other tightly, then at Dewey and Doofus who had started to fight one on one, blasting each other with God-like power.
Then he looked back into Louie's eyes who's pupils have gotten really tiny.
"Dad -." Phooey said, making Louie freeze at his thrashing, Webby's mouth flies opened and both Huey and Violet had gone completely quiet, the only sounds that could be heard was the grunting and the impact of Dewey and Doofus fighting.
Yes.
Phooey had considered Louie to be his Dad, since his heart belongs to Lena who actually and unknowingly made Phooey that day they all conjured him up when they were in their dream link, he was his Dad, and Lena, he considered his Mother.
"Let's go get Mom." He tells Louie and with that he closes his eyes, his hand still on Louie's chest and before Webby could even blink they disappeared.
