Dewey really hated being jerked around, especially when it came to his family. He had a few nasty words to say to Hades when he saw him.
He ignored the gnawing in his soul that was pulling him back towards to where it was suppose to go to Donald, and made his way back to the Underworld. He had no idea what would happen to Dewey if he ignored his assignments, but at this point, he didn't really care what happen to him as long as he got his family safe, and answers.
Dewey felt a surge of guilt ignite through him as he thought about what Timothy had told him.
"Have you heard from your brother, Louie, lately? He had asked, as soon as Dewey had stopped mid-leap through the rift.
"What do you know about it?" Dewey snarled. He pointed the blade of his Scythe at his nemesis. If he hadn't already been dead, Dewey would have strike him down right there.
"That he's in trouble. Big trouble." Timothy told him.
Timothy's apparition floated in front of him.
"Louie's working for Doofus," Dewey said, rolling his eyes, "whatever it is that he's gotten himself into. He can get himself out. Now, if you don't mind. I got some work to do -."
He started to twirl his Scythe to get the rift flowing again.
"Wait -. Stop." Timothy grabbed the Scythe, much to Dewey's surprise.
How was the dead able to touch it?
"It's not what you think." Timothy said. "He -. He's been brutalizing, and raping Louie for the past few months!"
Dewey stared at him, in shock, then, his eyes narrowed at him.
"How do you know?" Dewey asked.
"Because I use to work for the bastard, and its gotten me killed." Timothy said, as if he was more mad at himself then the fact that he ended up dead.
"So what now -. You gonna haunt me for the rest of my life?" He asked.
Timothy shook his head.
"I just thought you'd want to know what Louie's been going through. He needs you and your brother right now." Timothy insisted. "Doofus -. He's a psycho, a murderer, a sadist. and that's not even the worst of it." Timothy told him.
Dewey blinked.
What was worse then being all those things?
Was Louie really not living it up with Doofus like Dewey thought all this time?
If so,
Why?
Why would Louie go through all that?
He could easily get out of that situation if he really wanted too.
What was keeping him there?
Knowing Louie it wouldn't be for something as selfish as money and fame. Not anymore. Not after discovering what kind of person Doofus really was.
No. It would be more of something like. His family and friends.
A sudden thought was nagging at the back of Dewey's mind, like a tiny spark, ready to burst into a flame, but couldn't quiet get it going.
Then, like an explosion, it came to him.
Hades.
Hades knew what was going on this entire time!
That's why Donald's name showed up on the scroll!
Since Gods and Goddess can't mettle in mortal affairs, Hades took it upon himself to find a loophole in that. Donald must be the reason why Louie would even think to sacrifice and summit to that nut job Doofus.
