9:38 AM

It had been two weeks since his girlfriend had blocked his number.

Are we even dating now?

The brunette plops himself as his desk mindlessly turning on his pc and watching his cursor roam the screen.

Is she gone? Am I alone again? Why did she leave me again?

Before Nick could enter his spiral of damaging thought, a call came through his phone.

Incoming Call From

green boy

Fuck.

Nick takes deep breath as he answers the call.

"Hey Dream," The brunette drags out, running his hand through his hair. "Why are you calling me on this fine day?"

"Sap, get on Minecraft."

Nick glances towards his monitor. The time reads 10:07. "It's almost time for me to go to sleep Dream." Nick stretches and fakes a yawn.

Dream laughs, "Dude, your sleep schedule is so fucked up. Go to sleep and call me later."

"Heh, yeah. Bye Dream." Nick blows him a kiss through the phones and hangs up the call. A soft purring comes from across the room, a soft orange cat walks up to the young adult in his chair.

"Hey Mogwai, hey there sweet boy." Nick picks up the older cat and sets him gently on his lap, "How are you, Mogwai? How are-" A sharp cough cuts off his question, in turn, scaring the cat.

"How dare you Mogwai? You and your pesky hair." Nick shoots a quick but playful glare at the cat that walks out of his room. He looks down at his empty lap and realizes the ungodly amount of hair that the cat left behind on his black hoodie.

Really Mogwai?

Nick decides to take a fast shower and change into some new clothes after staying in the black hoodie for a week.

As the warm water hits the brunette, the snips of conversation and memories come back to him in waves.

"Please Amber, I'm sorry." Nick begs.

"Nick, why would you do this to me? You knew how much I didn't like you talking to other girls. I told you so many times Nick."

And many times where Nick had been blocked for long periods of time. This time was not the longest, Ambers record time was 2 months. This felt like any other time, a cycle of events that occurred frequently. Nick messes up, Amber blocks him and threatens to leave, and Nick is forced to beg for forgiveness.

"Goodbye Nick, this is it." The call ended. With tears streaming down his face, Nick immediately calls her back. The number didn't ring once, signifying that he had been blocked. This was the first time.

Previously, the relationship was good and healthy. Nick mind wanders to the first memories that were made of pure love and happiness. Now the memories are saddening.

"I love you Nick, I will never hurt you and leave you." Nick believed this, and still does.

Nick finally turns off the water, and gets dressed into jeans and grey t-shirt.

With an apology plan on brewing in his mind, he left his house for the first time in 2 weeks.
