as taeyong stirred on the bed, a odd feeling filled his side and water dripped down the side o his face from the ice bag set against his forehead. "w what the.." he mumbled and eyelids slowly fluttered open, shutting instantly from the blinding light that cast down from the ceiling. grumbling under his breath, the small boy tried to lift himself up, groaning at the sharp pain that shot through his side.

"i wouldn't do that if i was you," a soft voice spoke from across the room, causing the younger to snap his head around.

"mom..?"

the word felt unfamiliar coming from his mouth, staring at the woman that sat in a chair across from his bed. the obvious guilt that decorated her face causing him to scoff, leaning back into the bed. "too late to feel guilty for something you've caused all these years. why am i here? why aren't i still laying on my floor where i normally wake huh?" taeyong questioned, no stated, a bit harshly. not expecting an answer from his mom as he looked to the needles stuck in his arm.

"sweet-" "don't call me that." taeyong shot quickly, cutting his mother off and glaring towards her. his mother's lips pressed into a firm line before continuing, "your brothers and i were extremely worried about you. we rushed you here to make sure you didn't bleed out."

though he was grateful to be given the proper care, it only angered him more knowing his mother only brought him here to reassure his younger siblings. eyebrows furrowing further, he stared at her, just stared at her. too many questions running through his mind. only one finding it's way from his lips.

"why me..?" the red head mumbled at first before speaking up again, "why, why make me go through this? why haven't you left him?" he spoke, voice cracking as he could feel the tears forming in his eyes. his gaze by now had shifted to the thin blanket covering his quivering figure.

a soft sniffle reached his ears, not daring to lift his head. the hatred he felt for his mother ran deep, but he could never let go of the memories they once had. the smiles they shared, fading when the words 'i'm attracted to men' left his mouth. the day his father fell down that dark hole. the moment his mother stopped protecting him.

"how could you do this to me? t then.. then you bring my brothers into this world only for them to receive the same hate i do—you're no mother.." without thinking, the last words hissed pass his lips and looking at her through tears. "if i was on the verge of death, you'd still be out there like some hippy, smoking your cigarettes and ignoring the screams of help!" taeyong soon exclaimed.

T'S MOM POV

not muttering a word, she watched her child belittle her actions as a mother. but she knew he was correct, heart clenching further in regret.

"i'm—i'm sorry taeyong.. and you know i am, he brings in the money son, where will we go? my family turned their backs on me the moment i got pregnant with you at a young age, taeyong what am i supposed to do?!" voice raising, she saw the visible flinch of her son and instantly quiet down.

"i am so sorry he hurt you, you wanna leave, leave.. don't involve me or your father in your reasons," she stated one last time before standing and heading for the exit. choking back her tears, knowing it was wrong of her to listen to her husband.

"fûckïng bïtćh.." taeyong whispered, causing her to stop in her tracks.

"get your stuff when you are released, you aren't allowed to see your brothers if you decide to walk out that door," with that she was gone. hearing the heartbroken sobs of her child fade as she walked away, wiping her own tears and forcing her smile to her husband who waited at the exit.

"you had better done what i said adoura," his voice threatened and instantly nodding, following him back to the car.
