A Barrier

Izukus POV

"Where are we? "

I looked around me as me and Angie have been walking in nothingness for what seemed like hours. Angie stopped in his tracks. I turn to him with a confused look until he slowly raised his arm and points behind me. I turn my head and see Devi chained as well but more beaten than Angie. I ran towards him without thinking and right when I was about to reach for him I was thrown back.

"Izuku! "

Angie yelled running to my side. I sat up and looked at a panting Devi.

"W-what was that? "

I asked crawling forward again and reaching my hand out and it touched a barrier like source. Angie did the same.

"Its not done with him. "

He said. I looked at Angie in shock. I quickly stood to my feet.

"We have to help him! "

Angie stood as well, facing me.

"If I could I would izuku. "

"What? So you can't? "

I asked pointing at the barrier. Angie frowned.

"No, I can't. He won't be free until it's done with him. "

I took a deep breath and looked at Angie.

"We have to try. "

I said. He looked at me with a small smile.

"I know all you want to do is be the hero, but not everyone can be saved izuku. Not even you. "

I stared at him in shock. I knew the truth deep down but once it was said, it hurt like hell.

"I know everyone can't be saved. I know I can't be saved. But so what? "

I laughed at my last question.

"At least I'd die trying. Unlike those who give up and never get a chance to see the outcome of everything. "

"Izuku-"

"No. You chose to give up. If you don't want to try, leave. Cause I'm helping. "

I said turning to the barrier and holding my hands on it. I looked down at Devi.

"It's ok. I'm going to get you out ok? "

I smiled as he made eye contact with me. His face held pain but it also held hope.

"At least someone believes in me. "

I mumbled. I closed my eyes and tried to focus. If this is in my head then it should be easy to take this down. I then felt some energy spark and the barrier faltered for just a second. I smiled.

"I did it!"

"Ok just a little bit longer. "

I did the same thing but this time I felt a pain shoot through my chest. I fell to my knees clutching my shirt.

"Fuck."

"Izuku."

"What?! "

I breathed out in slight pain.

"If you keep doing this, you will use all your energy and will more likely die. "

Angie said. I looked at him over my shoulder with a grin.

"Then I guess I'll go out with a bang. "

I said standing again and placing my hands on the barrier again.

"Izuku ple-"

"SHUT UP! "

"I'm trying to focus. "

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"Come on. "

"Just a little more. "

I then felt pain shoot through my chest again but I stood my ground. I felt the barrier start to shake.

"Come on. "

I took deep breaths as It felt like the pain start to weigh me down. I then fell to the ground again.

"Fuck! "

I gasped for air.

"Izuku. You'll die! "

Angie pleaded. I took a few deep breaths. I slowly stood to my feet again. I pointed up.

"It's almost down, see? "

I put my hands on the barrier one more time.

"One more push. "

I held it longer this time and then finally it fell. And with the barrier being nocked down, I was thrown back. Angie went in the way and caught me with both of us falling over.

I sat up and saw the barrier down. I jumped up to my feet.

"I did it! "

I yelled but quickly fell back down to which Angie caught me again.

"Yes you did. "

He smiled.

"T-tell him I s-said hi. "

I said before blacking out.
