Izukus POV

"The view is so beautiful tonight."

I said to myself as I sat at the edge of a building looking over the city lights. I layed down and stared up at the stars above me.

"Why am I alive? "

"Just because you ask out loud doesn't mean your going to get an answer. "

I sat up as I heard that voice again. I looked around me and looked down at my lap.

"I know. "

"Besides, you shouldn't worry about that anymore since your time is almost up. Your going to die soon. "

"I know. "

"Then why don't you go say your goodbyes before your time is fully up? "

"I-I........ I guess I just don't want to fight back. "

"What do you mean? "

"If I were to say goodbye, I would more likely end up wanting to stay with the people I care about and I would try to fight this fated death. "

"You wouldn't win either way. "

"That's exactly why I can't do it. They will think I'm weak for not putting up a fight. "

"Does it matter? You said yourself, they will forget you over time. "

"I know but it still hurts you know? "

"Just shut up already and quit throwing a pity party. Your going to die, leave everyone behind, will be forgotten, and you will eventually forget everything too. "

"Of course I am. What'd you expect? I'm you!"

"Your me..... Wait..... If your me don't that mean you will die also? "

"Well not exactly...... "

The voice sounded more nervous which made me very confused and worried.

"What exactly will happen to you when I die? "

I say more serious.

"Oh n-noth-"

"Tell. Me. The. Truth. "

I said standing up at the edge.

"Ok. Ok. When  you die, you will be reborn and I will will become the new you. "

"W-wait. So your t-taking my place? "

"Technically, yes. "

"How much more time? "

"In about 2 days. "

"What if I were to accept this virus *cough*You *cough*And have it under my control? "

"That's a very stupid idea. "

"You may end up in control but I will eat everything that's good in you until you are under my control. "

"How about I separate myself from you and kill you? "

"Well that could work but you would still die."

"Better than letting a villain me running around killing people and destroying the world. "

"Well how exactly are you going to separate me from you? "

"I have an old friend that can build a machine. But if not, I will find someone with a separation quirk. "

"Will you have enough time? "

"Don't know. Maybe not. But I will still find a way to kill you. "

"Yeah.yeah. we get it, your a hero trying to protect people. But I don't get why though. I mean they don't anything in return. "

"Well that's because you don't know what it feels like making people feels safe and happy. "

" How can I when your going to kill me? "

"Well I could separate you from me and I can try to help you instead? "
