lost again

In reality I was but then my mind just drifted

happens often, happens always, too much as of late

staring at the empty walls, I begin to dictate

rules of a world where I am the best

It dawns on me after a while

such a precious thing my dear time,

and like a fool I've just wasted it away

and spent it all on my imaginary day

I lost again, reality you win today.

the more I stay with you, reality

the more I begin to understand myself

the more I stay with you, my imagination

the more I begin to forgive myself.

whenever days seem bleak and dim

Imagination takes hold

and I am king.

But now dear imagination ,my time has come

for I have lost for far too long

so take note as I rise up

and  wage the war on your turf

oh reality I've had enough

and now its time I've woken up.
