The mighty King of The Outer Gods bears his human name once again for the sake of his sponsor, for the sake of the sole reader of his life. He took the Oldest Dream to a worldline similar to the Earth so that the boy could have a normal life.

He bought a house big enough for all of them—him, his sponsor, and the other 999th turn Outer Gods. Lee Jihye and Kim Namwoon went to a university, while Uriel and Lee Hyunsung managed to get a job. They lived a peaceful life, but Secretive Plotter's restlessness never fades away.

Kim Dokja is happy that he lived with his favorite characters. Jihye-noona and Uriel-noona are cool, Hyunsung-hyung is always gentle, and Namwoon-hyung is not as bad as he had thought. But for some reason, he couldn't seem to get close to Joonghyuk-hyung. Sure, Joonghyuk-hyung is kind and caring. He always cooks for everyone and does the house chores. But as close as Kim Dokja could be with Joonghyuk-hyung, it was as if the protagonist had put up a wall between them. Yoo Joonghyuk provided him with house and food, but he looked as though he doesn't care about Kim Dokja's well-being apart from that.

It's fine. He still has Jihye-noona, Namwoon-hyung, Hyunsung-hyung, and Uriel-noona. They care and love Kim Dokja too. They gave him the attention he never had. The affection he yearns. He has never been treated like this in his whole life. It was overwhelming at first, but as time goes by, Kim Dokja learns how to accept the overflowing affection given by the characters from his favorite novel (and the lack of it from the protagonist).

It felt weird to see someone whose life he read for years breathing and talking around you. Kim Dokja had always thought of them as fictional characters, until he heard Hyunsung-hyung's beating heart in his chest and felt Uriel-noona's tickling breath on his neck whenever she hugs him.

It made him realize that they are living beings too. A human too (an archangel, in Uriel-noona's case).

But no, it's not enough. No matter how much attention and affection the others gave, there is still a gaping hole in Kim Dokja's heart, wanting to be filled.

It was hard to ignore the phantom ache in his chest. Not when his role model didn't give him what he wanted. His father figure, his brother figure, his friend. He knew it is uncharacteristic for Joonghyuk-hyung to express his care explicitly, but only a half of what Joonghyuk-hyung gave to his sister, Yoo Mia, seems so far away from Kim Dokja's grasp.

It seemed like the hyungs and noonas had indulged him so much to the point he actually craves something. Kim Dokja was never a demanding child. He wasn't going to be even when his soul cries for him to fill the hollow. He decided to bury the thought deep inside his mind. He didn't want to annoy his hyung.
