Krista didn't know what to think. This is the first person she talked to since she came back to live with her uncle. Krista had a hard time trusting people especially what happened. She was grateful for her uncle for taking her to the track today it's been a while since she had been to the track but after being stuck inside for the past two weeks her uncle suggested her to walk around. And now her she is walking around the track with Austin, she wasn't for sure if it’s Austin Dillon but she wasn't going to ask a stupid question. "Krista, you seem nervous, are you okay?" Krista looked over at him and just shrugged her shoulders "it's nothing, you wouldn't care about it if I told you, you don't need to worry about it." Austin looked at her confuse and said "I doubt that, it's okay I won't tell anyone" if it was anybody else she would have said no but there was something in his brown eyes that told her that she could trust him "okay the first thing you need to know about me is that I don’t trust people that easy so you better feel special" Austin shook his head in understanding "next is my dad walked out on my mom and I when I was two and my mom died when I was eight, so my uncle Rick raised me" Austin stopped and looked at her "wait Rick like in Rick Hendrick" Krista responded "yes, how did you know that" Austin turned and faced toward her and said "you’re wearing a yellow pass that tells NASCAR you are related to someone in the sport, I used to wear one like that when I was little, after I saw your pass earlier I knew you had to be related to a driver or a car owner" 'and because my grand farther is a car owner as well' Austin finished in his head. Krista interrupted his thoughts by saying "so if you had one of these passes when you were little that means you are Austin Dillon" Austin shook his head "the one and only" Krista laughed "okay when I tell you this story you can't tell anyone like I said I barely trust anyone and I now think of you as a friend" Austin smiled and said "don't about it I'm not that kind of guy to tell secrets on my friends" Krista smiled and said "okay good, okay here it goes...
Three weeks ago:
I entered a house that a murder had just recently that took place in. My job was go through all the rooms to make sure every evidence that the police marked was a taken a picture of and bagging up all the. When I came into the master bedroom I heard a door open from the closet and since the room was a good room for the closet to be a walk-in closet. I turned around to see the closet door was open. I followed every rule that it said in the handbook but I got pulled into the closet by this big man and he shut the door. He whispered in my ear 'I won't kill you if you do what I say.' I knew right away that he was the murder. My Life was on the line and I didn't know what to do so I did what I was told. Even though I have very bad night blindness I knew what he was going to do when he told me to take off my clothes.’
By now Krista was crying into Austin's shoulder and he was rubbing her back "hey Krista it's not your fault what happened, did you tell anyone?" Austin asked, he felt her shake her head yes "I told someone about it two days later when we were about to convict the guy and the kit came back positive for you know but they said since I didn't come in with in 24hrs after it happen they will have to cheek me next month for any disease, that didn't show up." Austin hugged her and said "I'm sorry that happened to you, just know that if you need anyone to talk too I'm here" Krista whipped off the rest of the tears that was streaming down her face "thank you Austin, you’re a good friend" Austin smiled then he realized that they made it around the track "hey how about take you back and get you some rest." Krista shook her head yes, she was emotionally drained from everything that happened. She led him back to the motor coach and he held her hand the whole time. Once she got to the couch she hugged him "thank you Austin, I fell much better talking to my uncle now" Austin looked at her shock but he didn't say anything "don't mention it and like I said if you need anything or need someone to talk too, don't be afraid to talk to me we can walk around any track that we are at" Krista giggled and said "good night Austin" "good night Krista" she walked in to see her uncle watching TV "hey uncle Rick" "hey kiddo how was your first day back at a track?" Krista smiled "it was great, I never knew I would miss being at the track, I mean I would listen to all the races on the radio or watch them on TV but being at the track is so much better." Rick laughed and said "I'm glad and I'm glad that you got out too, did you say hi to all you old friends?" Rick questioned he knew Chase and Krista was best buds growing up but knew there was nothing there, Chase looked after Krista like she was his younger sister he needed protect, not only that but when Rick would go on long meeting she would stay with the Elliott's while he was a way. Krista grabbed a water out of the mini fridge "yes, in fact Chase didn't want me go anywhere without letting him know where I was going, he was being a little protective but I also told him what happened so that's why he was like that." Rick nodded his head in understanding, the only one Krista told what happened in detail was Austin, and she just meet him. She just told Rick and Chase that she got attacked but she didn't tell them how she got attacked and she would have to take tests for the next couple of weeks, but they were family to her. Is that wrong? "Did you meet anyone else?" Rick snapped het out of her thoughts, she was grateful for, "yes, his name is Austin and we walked around the track for a little while then he walked me back here" Rick looked up at her "like in Austin Dillon?" Krista sighed, ever since her mother died Rick took the role of protective parent "yes and to answer your next question no we did not do anything we ran into each other and he asked if I wanted walk around the track with him so since I had nowhere to go I agreed, that’s it nothing else happened." Rick got up from the couch and put a hand on her shoulder "I'm going to tell you this now, I don't mind that you hang out with Austin I know you need friends so I also don't mind you being friends with Austin either" "but you don't want me to date him" Rick shook his yes "I'm sorry Krista but I don't want you involved with a driver" "you don't have to worry about any of that Uncle Rick I think of Austin as friend right now he might become my best friend later on but right now you won't have to worry about me dating any guys for a while since what happened" Rick smiled at her "well that’s good" Krista laughed and hugged her uncle "how about you get some sleep and see what we can do with you when we get back to North Carolina" Krista laughed and walked to the bedroom she yelled from the bedroom "good night Uncle Rick" "good night Krista" Rick sat back on the couch and couldn't help but think that Krista is hiding something from him, but he also didn't want to press the issue. All Rick could hope for is she tells him soon before something happens.
