The Results

Austin knew after she said that he knew something was up "what do you mean we will have a problem if it is her?" Krista sighed, she clicked on the mug shot picture way it could become larger "before I tell you I want you to look at this picture and tell me if it's Brandi or not" Austin just nodded his head to let Krista know that she could show him the picture. Krista turned the laptop around way he could see the picture, Austin immediately told her "yes that's her, the only reason I know is because she has a mark on the bridge of her nose." Krista looked at him with a sad look, he then asked "what happened?" Krista closed out then started from the begging of the arrest records "when did you two start dating." Austin thought about it and said "we started seeing each other in 2013 so you can start there" Krista scrolled down when there was only one charge in 2013 "you said, three months after you started seeing each other she was gone for five months" she looked at him to see he was shaking his head yes "well it says that she got arrested for a minor drug charge and served a five month sentence for that." Austin knew there was something off about her but he didn't know what. "After the five months did she come back on March 30th?" Again he just shook his head yes, he was nervous and he didn't trust himself to speak so all he was doing was shaking his head "okay since Emma's birthday is on the ninth, how much did Emma weigh when she was born?" Austin knew that one right off the bat "she weighed in at 7pounds and 5ounces, so she weighed in as a normal full term baby." Krista gave him a weird look "well the charge that shows up after Emma was born is just a traffic violation and apparently she didn't pay the ticket so she had to serve a 90 day sentence but that is a good two weeks after and you said that she took off just a few days after." Austin gave Krista a suggestion "the only reason I can think of is she had a hard time giving birth and it was almost 24 hours that she was in labor. I can't think of anything else." Krista said "that could make sense but after she got released I don't know why she didn't come to you until month after. The only thing that is showing up is that year she was gone or 2015 and the charges range from traffic to drug and some other things. Let's just say that she got into a lot of trouble in 2015." Austin sat there shock while he was rising Emma Brandi didn't get into nothing but trouble or she would just stayed away just long enough where he thought she was gone out of his life just to show back up. "Austin" Krista said to get his attention, he turned toward her she then said "okay this next part might be hard for you but I have to say it way you know what you have to do" "what is it" Krista sighed then said "well I don't know where she was coming from but she managed to get in trouble in every state between Arizona and North Carolina" Austin looked at her confused then she just told Austin "When she got to Carolina she was arrested because there was a high speed chase that she sent the New Mexico state cops and Texas state cops on a high speed chase, so make a long story short there was a warrant out for her arrest in those two states and when the North Carolina police ran her name they arrested her when they looked in her car" Krista voice faded out, Krista hadn't even meet Emma but she felt close to her because she was one of her friends daughter "what is it Krista?" Krista felt tears rolling down her cheek, she took a deep breath before saying "they found a child in the trunk beaten and battered it is female at the age of 2 1/2" the tears was freely flowing down both of their cheeks. But Austin said "is she okay" Krista said "they are both in the children hospital in Charlotte the 2 1/2 year old is in stable condition and will be released to CYFD or CPS in two days if no family members besides the mother claims her." Austin rubbed his hands across his face and told her "okay two questions, you said she was in Charlotte and how are you getting all of this information by just a criminal data base?" Krista flashed him a sad smile and said "when I type in a name their names also pop up in newspaper articles or police blogs in the paper it's like tagging someone in a post so I got information on the kids from the paper. And yes she is in Charlotte." Austin just stood there thinking then it came to him. He walked calmly to the back room, luckily at least one day worth of clothing was already in the suit case. Austin grabbed it off the floor then return to the living room where he left Krista "what are you thinking" Austin turned toward the couch and he walked up and said "I'm going to Charlotte, by the time I get there the two days will be up and I will be able to bring her home not on the road since we are leaving tomorrow to go back to North Carolina for the week off it will be a great time for her to rest up not only that but her birthday will be the day I pick her up." Then Austin kissed her forehead, then turned Krista tried to stop him "Austin... wait" but it was too late, she wanted to go with him not only that but if he the plane tomorrow he would have plenty of time to get Emma. But now he is gone, she knew she shouldn't do this but she had too, she had to tell someone and the two perfect people that will be good talk to about this situation will be his brother and grandfather. She just hope Austin didn't get too mad at her.
