A World Forgotten

Breakfast

       The next morning I wake to the sun shining through my window and a banging on my door. I sit up and rub my eyes.

       "It's too early for this, who is it, and what do you want?!" My voice changes from a mumble to a shout raspy from sleep.

       "You have a dancing lesson with a god, or have you forgotten?!" Zaren shouts from behind the door. I sigh and get out of bed, I open the door and glare daggers at him.

       "And pray-tell why this couldn't have waited until nightfall?"

       "Because we need to keep you on your feet, now get ready." I roll my eyes closing the door. And commence my morning routine. After I'm dressed I write a note telling Mari why I wouldn't be able to meet with her this morning and head out for breakfast. I make it to the dining pavilion to see Ralend teasing Vincent pulling his food away every time he tries to grab it.

       I stifle a laugh as I make my way over whispering in Ralend's ear, "what a cute couple." He turns red and freezes and Vincent grabs the food smiling triumphantly then looking at the two of us in confusion, 'he looks like a confused Kunra pup'. I stand up and walk into the kitchen smiling like an idiot.

       "Why are you so happy?" Xyro asks in amusement.'

       "You did not just leave them thereafter causing all that damage." Jalence interjects walking in behind me.

       "Oh, I did," I say my tone is playful.

       "What did you do?" Xyro asks, his confusion growing more than ever.

       "I told Ralend and Vince the truth, that they're a cute couple." I say failing to hold back a laugh.

       "I would run while he's still in shock, and do you not have a dance lesson with Vincent later?" Xyro says smiling, biting his tongue to keep himself from letting out a chuckle.

       "That's the thing I whispered in his ear, Vince didn't hear anything and Ralend is too embarrassed to tell him." I say explaining my little scheme, "not to mention he teases me about things like that all the time. Karma is amazing." Jalence rolls his eyes. I get up grabbing my plate of food and leave the kitchen and sit next to Zaren.

       "Do you know why Ralend is frozen and the color of a renthra?" He asks, I choke on the food I had just taken a bite of. I look over at the frozen Ralend and Vincent trying to figure out how to fix him.

       "He's still stuck like that? This will be better than I thought."

       "What did you do?" He asks, confusion overtaking his features. 'Seems to be the theme for today'

       "Nothing much just flustered the fuhdel out of Ralend by stating nothing but the truth." I say nonchalantly.

       "How so.." He asks.

       "I called them a cute couple, not that I was wrong or anything." I shrug and continue to eat.

       "Hey, you might wanna go." He says motioning behind me, I furrow my eyebrows 'why?' I turn and see Ralend getting up and turning towards me.

       "Shit, bye have fun I choose life!" I shout as I dash out of the pavilion and climb the tallest tree in sight. I find a sturdy branch and sit on it as Ralend gets over to the tree looking up at me, I stick my tongue out at him.

       "Coward!" He shouts at me, I giggle.

       "Can Ralend not climb the tree?" I ask in mock sympathy. He scowls and holds on to one of the vines and starts to climb, 'shit I forgot he can do that, now what?' I smile and turn away from him and jump. I grab onto a branch and swing myself going from tree to tree before Ralend even got to where I once was. I make it to the floor of the forest. I take off in a sprint towards my house to get ready.

This is more of a filler chapter but I hope you still liked it! I had it in my drafts and forgot to post it, there won't be much of this for a while but I do have shorter one-shots almost.
