Isabella

Prelude & Chapter 1

Isabella ended the video and sighed. She had no idea how this night would go. She just hoped she could delete this video at the end of the night. She stood up with a groan and looked around the room. Hopefully Nava wouldn't have to watch that video. Isabella sighed before leaving the room and putting on a smile.

All night she was keeping an eye out for Scarlet. Once she arrived Isabella expected her to kill her right then and their. Never did she expect Scarlet to come into the restaurant.

They went out behind the restaurant where Scarlet had first poisoned her. Within a few minutes Isabella couldn't control her body. Scarlet made her follow her into the restaurant where they kidnapped Jax.

After that they went and Scarlet had made her hurt Nava and Dustin. The entire time she had been trying to stop herself but she couldn't she had been subconsciously aware but she couldn't control her movements.

As Scarlet told her to follow her out the door Isabella silently apologized wishing she could actually say what she wanted to say. "I am so sorry Nava. Please forgive me." She thought mournfully.

All she could do was hope that Nava would go to her office and the basement.

Isabella wished she could close her eyes but they stayed open. Scarlet constantly had her 'poisoned'. She knew the serum wasn't actually poison but it felt like it. It made it so she would do whatever Scarlet wanted her to do. Right now it was to watch her beat up Jax.

Isabella had been on a date with Jax when Scarlet and Alex had shown up and first poisoned her. They had kidnaped Jax and Isabella had been forced to watch them tourture him.

Isabella twitched her finger and silently rejoiced. The poison was wearing off. Of course they would poison her again in a few hours but she could have a few hours to mourn hurting her friends. She subconsciously winced as she remembered the last time she saw Nava over a month ago.

She flicked her hand hoping Scarlet and Alex wouldn't notice. Alex briefly glanced her way and she forced herself to continue watching. Alex smirked and punched Jax in the jaw. Jax groaned and Isabella flexed her muscles.

The more she moved the faster the poison would wear off. Isabella took a deep breath and tapped her foot. Scarlet noticed and grinned. "Alright hun. No more. Our dear friend is starting to move on her own again.

Isabella's head involuntarily jerked to the side. A result of staying motionless for so long. Alex smirked and smacked the back of Jax's head. They left the room Scarlet knocking Isabella to the ground as she passed.

Isabella lay there for a moment before her muscles were under her control again. She walked over to jax and examined his face. "I am so sorry Jax." She said carefully inspecting the bruises and cuts.

She walked over to a small cabinet and pulled out some medical supplies. She sighed and turned back to Jax. After a few minutes she had medicine on the cuts and bruises and Jax was slowly regaining consciousness.

Isabella put the supplies away after tending to the cut on her lip from being knocked down. Jax groaned. "Isabella?" He slurred. Isabella walked over. "I'm here." She said quietly.

He smiled softly. "Are you okay?" He asked. Isabella chuckled "I should be asking you that." She said He closed his eyes. "Is their water?" He asked, his voice cracking. Isabella nodded and walked over to the door kicking it a few times.

Alex opened the door with a scowl on his face. "What?" he whined. Isabella rolled her eyes. "I need water and some food." Alex rolled his eyes and shut the door. "Give me a minute." He said.

Isabella walked back over to Jax working on untying the ropes behind his back. "One minute and I'll have you out of this chair." she said. Jax nodded his head lolling slightly from exhaustion. She closed her eyes. "I have to get you out of here." she whispered.

Jax rubbed his wrists, wincing in pain. Isabella helped him stand up and move to a nearby table. He sat down right as Alex opened the door walking in with a jug of water and a little food. "Use it wisely, this is all you get until tomorrow evening." He said.

Isabella took the food and separated the things that could wait to be eaten from the things that would go bad soon. She handed Jax a piece of bread and a bit of ham before placing the perishables in a corner. They got food and water each day but they tried to make it last in case Scarlet decided to starve them.

She returned and stuck a piece of bread in her mouth. Isabella turned to Jax who was trying to move as little as possible. She sighed and poured a glass of water handing it to him. She sat down next to him.

"Jax I am so sorry." She said her voice wavering slightly. Isabella looked at the floor. "We've been here for a month and I still haven't gotten you out." She said referring to the promise she made the first time Scarlet and Alex had beaten him.

Jax grabbed her hand and gave her a lopsided smile. "Isabella, I'm not going to lie this past month has been awful. However I have enjoyed getting to know you better. Not to mention without you here to help me after the beatings I would probably be dead right now." He said

Isabella winced. "If it wasn't for me you wouldn't be here at all." She mumbled. Jax grabbed her chin, lifting her eyes to his. "True however I have enjoyed hearing your life story. It's definitely more interesting than mine." He said. Isabella smiled softly.

They talked for a few hours before Scarlet came in with a small needle. Isabella winced. Scarlet led her to the chair where Jax was tied up. Isabella rolled her sleeve up and sent a reassuring grin to jax. He returned the smile and mouth the word 'breathe' to her.

Isabella released the breath she didn't know she was holding. Scarlet smirked and placed the needle in Isabellas bruised arm. Isabella winced as the poison spread through her veins numbing her body and mind. Scarlet stepped back and watched Isabella try to fight the poison.
