Nava threw a vase at the wall and it shattered into a million pieces. Dustin smirked from behind his book. "I thought that was your favorite vase." He said. Nava turned to him and glared. "It was." She said angrily. Dustin sighed and set his book down. "Come here." He said, patting the seat on the couch next to him.

Nava scowled but walked over and sat down. Dustin slid his arm around her shoulders. "We'll find her." He said quietly. Nava hung her head. "It's been a month." She said mournfully. Dustin pulled her into a hug. "I know. But look, today we just barely missed her. She was just barely leaving when we got there." He said

She shook her head. "She didn't even recognize us. She looked right at me before turning and walking away." Dustin looked into her eyes. "But that's the thing Nava! Think about it! If Scarlet was in complete control Isabella would have killed or at least attacked us. But she didn't. She looked right at us and walked away. That means that she has a certain amount of control."

Nava pulled away and started pacing. "Then why doesn't she walk away from Scarlet?" She asked. Dustin sat back thinking. Suddenly Nava smacked her head. "Jax! Scarlet has Jax!" She said. Dustin nodded. "Yeah but why would that stop Isabella from walking away."

She started pacing again. "Isabella clearly likes him and lets not forget it's Isabella. She's always been one to make the hero play." She said Dustin nodded. "Right so she wouldn't leave unless she absolutely had to otherwise she'd stay until she could get both of them out in one piece."

Nava sank down onto the couch. "I just wish we had better equipment so we could actually find them instead of listening to police scanners." She groaned. Dustin pondered for a moment before jumping up. "I have an idea! Come on!" He said racing for the door.

Nava quickly followed him out the door. "Dustin! Where are you going?" She called. Dustin slid into the car not answering her. Nava rolled her eyes and jumped into the passenger seat. "Where in the world are we going?" She asked, gripping the dashboard as Dustin pulled out of the driveway.

Dustin smirked, glancing over at her. "Somewhere we probably should have gone a while ago. You and Isabella have an entire company with tons of equipment. Not to mention we both know Isabella loves superheroes and probably has been tinkering with all sorts of equipment that might help us." He said

Nava sat back. "Why didn't we think of this before?" she asked dumbfounded. Dustin shrugged and pulled into the parking lot. Nava jumped out of the car and ran towards the doors Dustin following closely. She quickly unlocked the doors and made her way to Isabella's office.

They reached Isabella's office and Nava started looking around. Dustin chuckled after a few minutes of searching with no avail. "Of course she wouldn't just leave any good equipment around." He said

Nava sat in Isabella's chair smirking. "Well duh. This is Isabella we're talking about." She said. Dustin leaned against the wall and Nava couldn't quite keep Isabella's voice out of her head. 'Nava get your butt out of my chair, and Dustin get off my desk.' Nava lightly chuckled at the voice.

"Well then where's the secret room or whatever?" Dustin asked. Nava shrugged. "Isabella tried to show me once but I told her I'd see it later. I guess I should have gone with her when she tried to show it to me in the first place." She said biting back guilt.

Dustin stood up and crouched in front of her. "Nava, this is not your fault. Not even Isabella could see this coming." He said. She laughed dryly. "She saw it coming at the last minute." She said Dustin sighed and started looking around the room again not wanting to argue with his wife.
