You stared out at the sea, not wanting to believe what was happening. You were stuck on this island. You had no idea where your brothers, or Aviva, or Koki were. You didn't know if Lucky and Clover made it.

"This is definitely not getting back out on the water." Jimmy confirmed, walking back over to you. He was holding the ship's wheel in one hand. You sighed and looked around the beach. Besides the giant shipwreck, the sand was covered in driftwood and broken seashells.

"Okay. First, we need to find the others." You told Jimmy. He seemed anxious. You tried to put a hand on his shoulder, but you weren't tall enough, so you gripped his arm. "We will get out of this. All of us."

"(____)! J.Z.!" A voice called. You both looked into the trees where it came from. Koki stumbled over a log into the open, and Lucky jumped up on it after she stood up on the sand. "I lost Chris sometime after we got to land. Lucky found me."

"Guys!" All of you looked over to see Martin waving from the sea. He deactivated his suit and swam to the shallow part of the water. A wave shoved him the rest of the way onto shore. He crawled out of reach of the water lapping at the land. You ran over to him.

"Are you alright?" You asked, crouching next to him. He nodded, but he didn't look alright. He was panting despite his typical stamina, and he had a pained look in his eyes. You sat on your knees in front of him, and he looked up. "You sure? Where's Aviva?"

"Um... She... I don't know. She let go and grabbed onto a life preserver off the boat. I had to dive. The waves were too strong." He muttered, taking a deep breath afterwards. He closed his eyes and looked down. "I-I went back up, but she wasn't there anymore."

"I'm sure she's fine. She probably just washed up further down, right?" Jimmy pointed out. You nodded at him, then looked back at your older brother.

"Yeah. From where we were, the waves come directly here. She must have ended up somewhere on this island." You explained. That seemed to cheer him up a bit, and he got to his feet.

"Alright. Let's build a fire and make a smoke signal. If Chris and Aviva are here, they should see it and find us." He smiled, but he still seemed a bit off. He walked further up the beach, and pointed into the almost jungle-like forest. "Let's gather some wood, kindling, and the biggest leaves or palm fronds you can find."

As everyone left, you noticed him sighing before heading to a clearer path. You couldn't help but take note of the fact that he was limping as you parted ways.

(Chris' POV)

Chris loved climbing. It was his favorite outdoor activity right next to camping and racing. He loved animals, and animals loved him. He especially loved climbing to search for animals, like the draco volan or monkeys. He wasn't expecting to be climbing to get away from an animal.

Of all creatures, it was a monkey he was climbing away from. He climbed higher in the tree, then stared down in confusion as the monkey stopped and jumped to the ground. It screeched at him from a fallen log.

"Why isn't it climbing?" He wondered out loud as he looked out to scout the area. He turned his head, and came nose-to-nose with a snake. He jumped in surprise, almost falling from the fifty foot height, but catching himself. He paled as the snake got into a striking position. "Oh. That's why."

He spotted someone on a distant shore dragging themself out of the ocean, and grinned before sliding down, out of the snake's reach.

"Sorry, buddy. I gotta go." He laughed, saluting the snake before jumping to a branch in the next tree. He looked down at the angry monkey. "Let's call it a draw for now, alright? Catch you later!"

He jumped and climbed all the way to the beach, then touched down in the soft sand. He walked up to the figure he saw, and went pale for the second time that day when he could barely recognize Aviva laying there. Clover was laying beside her, pawing at her ponytail. Chris crouched down to check her pulse, and found it was weak. He noticed that although she was alive, she wasn't breathing. He had to think fast, and settled for CPR.

Hours later, he had a small fire built to try and warm his barely living friend. He got her to breathe, but she was still unconscious. He smiled a bit when he saw her stir weakly, but started thinking about everyone else.

"Obviously Martin survived. He's better than any of us at swimming. But how did he lose Aviva and Clover?" He said, glancing at the two. He stood and paced along the beach. "I lost Koki at some point when we were looking for shelter. Hope she's alright. (____) may not like water, but they're a strong swimmer. I'm almost sure they made it. I really hope they managed to stick with Jimmy."

He looked at the light blue sky, there were only a few dark clouds moving across the expanse. Chris paused at them. They seemed to all be coming from one spot.

"Those aren't clouds." He realized. He ran to the nearest tree and pulled himself into it. He climbed to the highest branch that would hold his weight. He could see a small, controlled fire on the beach a few miles away, and three people fanning it with something. Chris grinned. "It's smoke!"

He climbed back down, then noticed Aviva struggling to sit up. He ran over to her, and quickly crouched down. She looked at him with dazed eyes before glancing around.

"Wh-what happened?" Where is everyone?" She asked. Chris pointed along the beach in the direction the smoke was coming from. He helped her to her feet and held her up when she nearly collapsed. She put an arm around his shoulders to prevent falling.

"Can you get there?" Chris asked in concern. She nodded, but didn't look fully awake. Clover nipped anxiously at Aviva's ankles. Chris kicked sand over the fire until it was completely out. He glanced at Aviva. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm okay. Let's go." She insisted, stumbling away from him. She started walked down the beach, giving him a stubborn glare when he opened his mouth to protest. Instead of saying something, he sighed and jogged after her.
