(Wild Cat's POV)

You kept an eye on Martin as the limp he seemed to have gained got worse. Still, he wore a smile and gave people jobs to do while also doing things himself. Finally, you pulled him to the side.

"What's up with your leg?" You asked him bluntly. He cringed a bit at the question, stepping back. As soon as he put weight on his injured leg, he yanked it back up with a pained whimper. His foot slid out from under him, and he crashed to the ground. You stood over him with a disapproving look as he tried to laugh it off. His expression changed, and he sighed.

"Okay, okay. I got caught on some coral when I was being tossed around in the storm." He explained in defeat. He turned his leg so you could see a long gash on his calf barely covered by a crappy makeshift bandage. You put a hand over your mouth in shock. Your brother sighed. "I didn't want anyone to worry, but it does hurt."

"Well, you failed at not worrying anyone." You told him, crossing your arms as he sat up straight. You crouched in front of him, and pulled the cloth off the wound. You tossed it to the side, and looked around for anything... Cleaner. You spotted a box half-hidden by the sand, and went over to pick it up. It was a first aid kit, and everything inside was protected from the storm by a waterproof seal. You smirked. "How convenient."

After disinfecting the wound, you tried your best to close the wound with medical tape, gauze, and a roller bandage. It wasn't great, but it was the best you could do with what you had. Martin ruffled your hair when you finished, and you ducked away, laughing a bit.

"Thanks, (____)." He said, standing as best he could. He limped a bit more with the bandage, but it was better than letting it get infected. You nodded to him, giving a smile. Then you spotted someone trudging up the beach behind him.

"Look," You said, pointing. He turned around in confusion, then grinned wide when he saw the people approaching. As they got closer, you recognized them. "Aviva? Chris?"

"Martin! Wild Cat!" Chris called, waving. You and Martin exchanged relieved glances before running over. The first thing you saw as you got closer was that Aviva was soaked, and her lips were blue with cold. You skidded to a halt in front of her as she smirked playfully and crossed her arms. She was acting alright, but she looked like she just almost drowned.

"I'm fine, W.C.!" She laughed as you circled her nervously, inspecting her for any obvious injuries. She put a hand on your shoulder to stop you. "I'm alright, really."

"Go sit by the fire. Warm up. Dry off." You ordered sternly, not returning the happy look. She nodded and went to sit down. Koki and Jimmy went over to talk to her, and Lucky ran over to you. He nuzzled Clover, who you initially hadn't noticed padding along behind Chris. Your brother pulled you into a hug, and you stepped back. He seemed confused until he saw you subtly gesture to Martin's injury.

"Hey bro. What happened?" He asked. Martin shrugged like the bandages were nothing.

"Just a little cut." He replied. You rolled your eyes at him, then looked at Chris.

"Yeah, a tiny little six inch long cut." You put in sarcastically. Chris nodded with a worried look.

"I don't mean to interrupt, but what about food? We don't have anything." Koki said from by the fire. You walked over with your brothers.

"We can go fishing, or maybe find some edible plants." Chris answered calmly. Martin nodded.

"Dibs on fishing!" He called. You glanced at the water, and shivered at the chill you got from remembering the storm that put you here. Everyone else seemed equally uncomfortable with the idea, but Martin seemed excited to jump back into the water.

"You should rest that leg. We'll just find some coconuts or something." You told him. He pouted a bit, but went to sit down near the fire. You looked to Chris. "I'll see if there are any edible plants. You search the trees."

"Right," He replied before running to a tree and jumping up into the branches. You followed a bit slower, looking carefully for possible danger and food.

Eventually, you had a 6:1 ratio of poisonous plants to edible ones. You took the very little you found and returned to the beach. Chris was already there, empty handed. You sighed and handed the berries to Aviva, who made sure they were safe for consumption.

After having what could barely pass as a snack, everyone started trying to figure out what to do next. You apparently weren't going to be included in this conversation, as you were given instructions to search the beach again for supplies.

Clover followed you at a lazy pace while you walked down the sand. There was nothing but debris from the wreck, which you figured could be used for shelter. Eventually, you went to the destroyed ship and started

You found a bunch of granola bars that came out of a destroyed cardboard box. Next, you picked up as many bottled waters as you could carry, once you found them.

After setting all the supplies in one spot to keep track of it, you sat down on the beach. Clover came up and sat beside you. Both of you stared out at the open ocean. A cool breeze battled the heat of midday. It was peaceful, waves gently lapping at the shore. You could almost forget your current situation.

Almost.

You sighed and stood up to see if there was anything else you could salvage. But, the longer you searched, the more water damaged stuff you found. It was hopeless.

You gathered the supplies and headed back down the beach, making a list of possible things you could do to survive here. Clover ran ahead of you, playing with the little crabs skittering near the water. However, any time her paws touched the sea, she sprinted back to you.

"We can't stay here forever. We need to get off this island." You remarked. You noticed some dolphins playing in the distance. "Martin would be best swimming out there to look for help, but he's not going anywhere. I wouldn't last a day, so that leaves Chris. But Chris won't leave us behind."

You sighed and looked down at Clover. She tilted her head. You told her something you wished you didn't have to admit, and you felt even more helpless than before, saying the words out loud.

"I don't know what to do."
