Sometimes it cannot be avoided having our storyline to have similarities to others. In writing Classics, cliché is not a new thing, and putting up a world that every Classical writer knows that they must include can possibly inflict the same imagination on the readers’ minds. However, despite the same characteristics of the story or the characters, the only way to make your story different from others is by making twists. Make your story some things that it only has, can, and will have/do.

For instance, if you think that long ago, people are using traditional tools for living and you have encountered these scenes showing these or were already introduced in other books, it is better that you think of other things for a change. Research for new things; undiscovered but interesting. Provide ample but concise definitions. Show the other sides of classics by presenting new things. This way, you are definitely making your story distinct and you can also teach your readers newfound knowledge. Same goes for the protagonist. Place your character in a situation that is new to read. Make them their own story, conflict, and even though they might have the same appearance to other characters, their roles and traits that only them can do, is what that really matters.
