Ri Jeong Hyeok, Yoon Seri, and their son Ri Jin Woo are now seated comfortably in the living room of the Ri estate. Jin Woo has come back from a trip overseas and went straight to his parents' house to inform them of his current plan.
"Appa, Eomma, I'm planning on proposing to Chae Yoon."
Upon hearing those words, the proud mother went to Jin Woo's side and hugged him.
"Aigoo finally you decided to propose to her. I was beginning to worry that Chae Yoon is wasting her time with you," the Ri matriarch's remark earned her a laugh from her husband and a glare from her son.
"What darling? I am just saying that you can be pretty dense sometimes and that I have always been worried that you won't be able to jive with her because you are a blockhead."
"Eomma!"
"Adeul, I love you but you need to learn the truth. Anyway, I want to see the ring. Show me the ring that you are going to use."
Jin-woo held his mother's hands because he did not know how she would react. He stared into her eyes before pulling out the black velvet box from his coat pocket.

"Oh my dear that is gorgeous. You have a good eye just like your father."
She showed her engagement ring to her son.
"Appa, where did you get the ring? Sourcing pink diamonds are difficult."
"I had my ways, Jin Woo which made things easier. I just needed to make a fee calls and then things are settled. However, I struggled putting this ring on your mother's finger."
The 27-year-old was astonished by his mother's statement. Every engagement story was magnificent. The young man now wonders what was the story behind his mother and father's engagement.
"What happened Appa?"
"That's a good story, Jin-Woo. I'll let your appa narrate it to you while I get some snacks."
She kissed her son's forehead the kissed her husband's lips before making her way to the kitchen.
