Brunch is still in full effect. Anastasia and Cameron have finished their food and have now escaped to the balcony. They don't go any further than that because Alicia or Catalina might try to snitch on them to their parents, saying that they left the club or some shit. Anastasia is having NONE of it.
Cameron pulls her body closer to his, left hand on her waist and his right hand on her cheek. He can't take his eyes off of her no matter how hard he tries. It's like her enticing beauty makes it difficult to think about anything else. "You're so ethereal. I find myself falling more and more in love with you everyday."
Her hazel-gold eyes are filled with warmth and love everytime he talks this way. She doesn't fail to smile brightly. "I feel the same way. I'm going to marry you someday."
"Big lavish wedding. The world at our fingertips. The most important thing of all... having you all to myself. You know what we need to do? Convince the terrible duo to find significant others. They're annoying me with how much they insert themselves into whatever we do."
Anastasia snorts. "That would make me happy, but no one wants to date them. Remember the time they went on double dates? The guys that they were with told them that they weren't feeling them."
He groans at this. He remembers perfectly. Catalina was ranting to their parents at breakfast the following morning. Cameron rolled his eyes so many times that he lost count. It's a surprise to him that his eyes didn't get stuck.
"Yeah, that was a fucking trainwreck."
"It was. I have a meeting with my project manager tomorrow." Anastasia tells him with a bright smile plastered on her face."
Cameron's eyes widen in surprise. "How's the process going?"
"The collection is finally finished. We're going to do some test shots on me so we can give the world a taste of what's to come. Launch is set for next month."
He smiles and pulls into a big hug. "Stassi, that's incredible! I'm so proud of you, my love."
"Thank you, honey! Ugh I'm so excited. I've been working on this since I was eighteen. Cameron, that's six years of busting my ass. Soon the world will see that I am more than a socialite that loves to party."
"We are most definitely having a launch party." He declares.
"Of course. Keep this to yourself, babe. I haven't told my parents yet. Telling them leads to Alicia finding out and I don't need her interfering with my goddamn business. Anything to do with beauty or parties and she'll find a way to take over."
Let me explain to y'all what I'm talking about here. Five years ago, Anastasia started her own cosmetics company 'Serene Beauty' and is going to be launching her own personal collection using her real name. She started the company a year after she broke up with you know who. She put the bullshit aside and threw herself into her work, spearheading it to the top of the beauty industry... all while keeping everything a secret... from her family.
Can you blame her? She may be a socialite but she wants to be known for more than what her last name is. Now you're probably wondering 'well damn, when is she going to tell her family?'. She will... next month once the details are finalized. The brand is known for its inclusivity across all skin tones and gender.
"I might ask the girls to join me for the test shots. They love taking pictures and that's what I need. Also, I plan to do a lot of marketing for the brand this time around." Serene Beauty relies heavily on social media for marketing. Hell, the beauty community on YouTube loves it.
Cameron kisses her again. "You're so talented. You said that people have accused you of using your last name to get to where you are. That is a damn lie, baby. I've seen you in action. This is all you. You're so damn good at what you do."
