Harry,

I hope you don't mind me calling you by your first name. I'm writing this- actually i'm not entirely sure why i'm writing this, I guess I've had enough. I know that sounds a bit ominous but really, I just want to finally let you know how I feel about you, and I mean how I truly feel about you. I'll start off by saying that it's nothing negative, I don't believe it ever has been. In all honesty I didn't realize for a while what it was that I truly felt for you. Even when I would catch myself staring at you, I would make up excuses in my mind to try and find an acceptable explanation for why I was staring at you. Even when I moved on from the whole "I hate Potter!" thing, I still would say the only reason I so often thought of you was because I was jealous. Later on, around 5th year I realized my feelings for you. I had a crush on you. I never let myself feel it even after that because I was afraid of those feelings and more so what came with feeling them. I knew peoples' views on them, especially my fathers. During the battle I remember the feeling, the deep hurt I had felt when he announced that you had died, It felt like someone had torn my heart out and stomped on it over and over and over again. I had felt it even more, the feeling of relief when you weren't dead. It wasn't until after all that, the war, that I decided to face my feelings, it was then that I realized that I, Draco Malfoy, was in love with Harry Potter. I feel the need now to tell you for reasons I still cannot comprehend, I hope this isn't too much of a shock although, seeing as I probably made my crush very apparent all those years, it probably isn't. I hope this finds you well, all the love,
