Naiche

The remainder of the day was peaceful, if a little worrying for Naiche, who wasn't completely sure what he should be worried about. After a couple hours of sleeping, Citali had woken up and he had managed to stumble his way through one of her cook books and the contents of her fridge and cupboard before finding something to make her for supper. Naiche took the fact that she ate the food willingly and asked for second to be a good sign, both on her health and his ability to cook a meal.

Afterwards they had sat for a couple more hours, talking about light topics before Citali had begun to nod off. Though she hesitated as she stood, watching him with a cautious look.

"Are you ok with staying? I know it is a huge imposition?" She murmured so softly that he wasn't sure he would have heard it if he were human.

Naiche smiled and nodded. "I'll stay as long as you want me to. I can hear your breathing and heart beat through the bedroom wall. I'll stay here and read. I have no reason to leave."

For he felt satiated in a way that he had forgotten existed. One package of blood had been plenty, and it had left him feeling settled and far more clear minded then he had felt before feeding. The taste had been better than he remembered and he felt an odd inner peace that he could only attribute to the euphoria of human blood.

Naiche did not even care that it meant he would need to find to obtain legitimate and safe human blood from now on. It had caused him to hesitate in her garage, hands trembling like an opium addict looking for a fix. But he had made the decision to follow through and feed and the anxieties fell behind him. Perhaps they would return when he got closer to needing to feed again, but Naiche felt perfectly happy with exactly where he was.

"Ok. Feel free to make yourself at home. The bathroom is through that door. I don't have any... masculine body products, but feel free to use what you need. And if you want coffee, or tea.." Citali wavered, looking toward the kitchen with a worried expression.

"I watched you make both drinks through our time together. I feel confident I will not break your machines." Naiche teased, offering her a grin when she looked at him. "Good night. If you need anything, let me know."

But she didn't simply go to bed.

Instead, she wandered to the washroom, where she spent several minutes cleaning up, before wandering on a circuit of the house, and as he followed her, he realized she was checking the doors. Then she stopped at the key pad at the front door and hit several buttons, before turning to look at him.

"If you need to go outside, hit the green button that says disarm, otherwise it'll set off an alarm." She blushed a little as she spoke, glancing at her feet and laughing softly. "My employer provides security, but they'll be worried if the alarm goes off."

"It seems like this house is secure. I don't foresee a need to go outside." Naiche made note of it though, as he had been half tempted to patrol around the house, searching for whatever had left behind that scent.

Perhaps it had been trying to get in, and had been unable to because of the security measures taken. But he didn't want to worry her before sleeping, so he merely walked back to the couch as she moved to her bedroom. He paused, focusing his senses to ensure that there was nothing untoward within that room. Though he grinned when he heard her walking around before climbing into bed. He would not be surprised if she had been checking the windows.

Satisfied, he moved to the chair beside the large window and opened his book, though he focused his hearing to the world outside, listening even as he read, for any trace of something else out there.
