A/N: There are parts in this that are not real, please DO NOT leave comments if you are just going to 'point out' that something is not true. THIS IS A FICTION STORY MEANING IT IS NOT REAL. Please feel free to read and enjoy, sorry for my rant but I don't enjoy people pointing out when something is not true.
Chloe woke up the next morning to harsh voices outside. She didn’t want to be rude and interrupt but she was curious to hear what they were saying, she got up and cracked her door slightly to let the voices drift in but make it look like her door was still closed.
“Evan this is just too weird for me; I don’t need this, I have my career to think about, the press is already beginning to call me names like ‘the other woman’ and ‘the adulteress’,” said Erica.
“Erica, don’t do this; I called my lawyer and he’ll be over soon to help us annul the marriage and everything will go back to normal,” pleaded Evan.
“Everything will not be normal and you know that. How can I look at you every day after we’re married and not forget that I wasn’t your first wife?” asked Erica.
“But you will be my first wife; an annulment makes this marriage like it never happened,” said Evan.
“But it did happen, Evan, it may go away in the courts but it will never go away in people’s memories,” said Erica, “I’m going to just go stay with my parents’ for a few days up north to think.” Chloe didn’t hear anymore talking, only a door close, so she knew Erica had left. She waiting a few more moments before coming out of her rooms it wouldn’t seem like she was listening. She was just going to play it off like she didn’t hear anything.
“Morning,” said Chloe cheerfully. She was still wearing the same clothes she had worn yesterday since she didn’t have anything else and Evan hadn’t called a stylist yet to bring clothes.
Evan was sitting on the couch staring blankly at the Tv before he saw her. “I know Chloe,” said Evan bluntly.
“You know what? Where’s Erica?” Chloe asked trying to cover it up.
“I know you were at your door and were listening,” said Evan making Chloe blush. “I heard you open your door slightly.”
“Sorry I didn’t mean to eavesdrop,” said Chloe shyly.
“It’s okay,” said Evan turning back to the TV,” As you heard I called my lawyer to come over and talk to us about getting it annulled.”
“That’s good; not to be rude or anything and since I can’t leave her, id there anyway I could get some different clothes?” asked Chloe from the kitchen grabbing herself a coke.
“I’m sorry; I forgot to call the stylist, I was too busy calling my lawyer and dealing with Erica this morning,” said Evan as Chloe walked out of the kitchen to the living room. “Are you drinking a coke?”
“Yeah, so?” asked Chloe taking a sip and sitting next to him on the couch.
“It’s 8 AM, how can you drink a soda this early?”
“Coke has caffeine too and I don’t like the taste of coffee, too bitter, while Coke is sweet. Why not start your day with some sweetness?” asked Chloe with a cheesy smile.
Evan laughed, “Good point, but you can make coffee sweet too with milk and sugar or creamer.”
“Yes but then you have sugary milk with a little coffee; I’d rather have a Coke,” said Chloe taking another drink. Evan chuckled and pulled out his phone to check his emails. ON the TV was the latest entertainment news with the biggest story being them.
