England:
you smiled lightly, plucking a book off the floor and slipping it back into its place on one of the many shelves.
you hadn't been working at the library for long, taking it on as a part time job to make a little extra money, however the time you had spent so far was lovely. it as quiet, peaceful and relaxing, the people who came in where also generally nice.
"excuse me, love."
a small tap on your shoulder caught your attention. pushing the last book into place you turned to see a blonde haired man with stunning green eyes and.. very large eyebrows.
"oh, did ya need something?"
you smiled gently, the man nodded.
"I was trying to find the sherlock Holmes books but my attempts have been fruitless, would you mind showing me where they are?"
you took note of his distinct British accent, nodding back at him as you began to walk in the direction they where. once he spotted the books he gasped walking past you and instantly picking one out.
"perfect! this is just the one I was looking for. thank you, love."
you nodded again, he was such a polite fellow.
"no problem sir, are you staying in to read or would you like to check it out?"
he paused, thinking for a moment before answering.
"I think I'll check it out today."
once you lead him to the desk at the back of the library you placed a time stamp in the book, saying that it had to be brought back by the date it said. He said it wouldn't be a problem as he reads quite fast and he'd probably be back in a few days.
"can I have your name and email, or phone number please?"
"Arthur Kirkland. ah and my phone number is-"
you typed it into the computer, his file popping up not a moment after. his file was quite extensive, thousands of books having been checked In and out. it looked as though he had been checking books in and out since the library first opened.
obviously quite an avid reader then...
"woah, you read an awful lot Arthur."
he blushed, scratching the back of his neck before hurriedly tucking the book into his bag.
"reading is a great pastime."
before you could speak again the small library bell chimed, you turned just in time to see another blonde male rush in, tackling Arthur into a choke hold.
"HEY BRO! I KNEW ID FIND YOU IN THIS STUFFY OLD PLACE!!"
you cringed at his loud demeanour, waving to get his attention.
"Would you mind being quiet, this is a library."
Arthur grunted as the other male let go.
"Bloody git, I don't think hes ever been quiet."
"Oi I can be quiet!"
He was speaking in a hushed tone yet it sounded as though he was still shouting at the same time.
"gah, so sorry for the trouble, love, ill take him out of here now."
he smiled before turning to push the loud blonde out of the library.
what odd people, such a loud guy being friends with such polite man...
