Hey All,
Above is a message I've just posted to my conversations board.
I love interacting with my followers, but it hurts my heart to see you guys tell me you won't read this novel because it's heterosexual.
I don't mind if the novel isn't your cup of tea, it isn't mine either! I wrote it a long time ago and with a really naïve mindset. I have since publicly communicated how my views on the topics I wrote about have changed. (please source 'changes to my writing')
What I do mind is the negative comments and messages I receive about the MtF Kenma headcanon. Displaying dislike for a beloved character because I decided to make them trans is beyond disappointing.
There are ways to communicate how you feel about the writing without potentially hurting genderqueer individuals who want to read this story. This is my biggest concern.
From now on, I intend to just delete these kind of comments.
If you want KuroKen as cis, every single other book of mine is where you'll find it. It's only one click away. I have more in the works as well.
I don't want to come across as rude, but I need to put my foot down. Prioritising a safe space for all is what I want, and I can't do it by letting these comments slide anymore.
I hope you understand. Thank you all for your time, I'm wishing you all well and sending love. Please remember to be kind to each other.
